Who is our emergency QB?

A better question is, have we ever needed an emergency QB.

Week 1 2009.

Delhomme, Mccown and Moore. We were an injury away from John Kasey playing QB.

yeah,  i was just getting to point that game out. miserable game, esp. after feeling so good about '08 only to be let down by that spanking from the cards in the playoffs and peppers wussing out on us and saying he wanted to leave. i remember hoping that we'd pick up where we left off before the playoff embarrassment but right out of the gate we started sucking again. train wreck from beginning to end, that game was.

ugh.

yeah, if it ever comes down to an emergency QB we're pretty much screwed. pretty sure it will be non-stop wildcat with good ol 34 getting the snaps.

An emergency QB is nice, but if you get to that point in a single game, the game is pretty much over anyway.  You can just pick whoever to play QB or just run the wildcat for the rest of the game.  And, if you happen to lose both QB's in a single game, you can have your pick of veteran backup guys at practice by the next day.

Bottom line is that if you lose both guys to something that keeps them both out for more than the current game.......it doesn't really matter who you get at that point.  You are done.

sadly that was my first experience of watching the team live. Still traumatized from that.
