Im sorry but are you not even considering the bye for you guys would be a negative? Byes a lot of times make teams come out flat when they play again. You guys are also coming from a huge win in London overseas and jet lag takes awhile to recover from. I know the Vikings are terrible but we played them this year when they came off a bye after beating the Steelers in London and spanked them 38-10 infront of a very hostile home crowd. Didnt you guys lose or tie the Rams after a bye last year?

No, i agree that byes can be detrimental to a teams momentum but in this particular case with our influx of injuries; I think it does more good than bad.

I may be coming out of left field with this one, but this game screams Mike Mitchell blitz's to Kaepernick to get him disrupted and on edge inside the pocket.  With aggressive play by him and his ability to get into player's heads with his play, it could prove huge for us.

We don't have much of a passing game, but we've played one less game than most teams, and we run the ball so well we don't need to throw as much.

NFL stats are completely erroneous by themselves and as shallow as they get. Our passing attack isn't good by any means, but it's nowhere near the worst in the NFL.

Fair enough. But if the panthers get up, running the ball will do nothing but help the panthers.

The 9ers remind me so much of the Panthers.

Great front 7.

Good/great running game.

A qb that is both dual threat. Liable to have astounding games, as well as, some head scratchers.

Weaker receiving corps.

They certainly have a more talented secondary than us, though ours has been performing well as of late.

They have better coaching, though Rivera, McDermott and Shula have also been performing well as of late.

Going to come down to the qb play. Whichever qb has a better game, I can almost guarantee that team will win.

it's gut check time ladies, if you aren't fuging pumped to play the best gtfo.

Lets please not compare a 2nd year player to a 7 year vet who is already a first ballot HOF'er. Give Luke more time to build his resume before making that claim lol.

I believe Willis is going to be a HOF-er but if his career ended today, there is no way in fug he would be first ballot

NaVarro Bowman and Vernon Davis are a bit scary. But we've played Seattle and they have a better D then SF, in my opinion.

However, with that I am not going to say we will man handle them or blow them out. It will be a close game more then likely. Barring no crazy turnover party by either team.

We will be the best D the 49ers have seen this year

They will be the best D we have seen this year

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
