Panthers DE @ItsGHardy looking for a nickname for the Panthers' defense. http://blogs.charlotte.com/panthers/2013/11/greg-hardy-defense-nickname-panthers-nfl.html

Hardy tried to get in the spirit during training camp by attaching Monsters Inc. nicknames to several of his defensive teammates, but they didn't stick...Here's a chance for fans to help Hardy out. Fire away with your nickname suggestions for the Panthers' defense.

Hardy didn't want to suggest nickname himself. "You've got to get the abs before you get the tats. You can't get artwork on a fat stomach."

The Force, perhaps?

Maybe The Dark Side?

idk, but i'm trying to go to the ATL game on the road with my buddy decked out as luke skywalker and darth vader morphed into panthers themes holding a death star sign, so the huddle needs to think of something quick

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
