If we could trade up get Jabari or Wiggins that would be unbelievable for the renewed Hornets brand

I think trading both picks and a future 1st will only get us to maybe 5 or 6

Yeah I realized that once i remembered the top picks this year are valued higher than any top picks in years, so i edited. I really think Wiggins is going to be a star and we should try whatever possible to get him

  • 2 weeks later...

I've seen some mocks having us draft Shabazz Napier with our second pick in the first round.  He's an interesting player, but I don't know drafting another Connecticut guard.  I'm going to look at some highlight vids of him.  We definitely need another guard to back up Kemba.

No5 or no6 could land us Randle, Vonleh, Smart, or even Exum. I'd do it in heartbeat.

I'd love to have either Smart or Exum, but then what are you going to do at SG with nothing else left but a 2nd Rd pick and free agency? I suppose at that point you'd have to go after Lance Stephenson. Not saying I'm a fan of that move, but it'd be clear that's probably their plan.

you would trade 3 first round picks for one unproven guy? i mean, 3 first rounders for Love or Rondo or a proven player in the league is one thing, but that is crazy IMO..

I bet he is there but Cho pases on him.

Something about Randle just doesn't fit. I suppose his comparison is Zach Randolph, and although Randle is more athletic than Randolph, I'm not sure if Randle can "bully" NBA players in the post like he did in High School, and with his short arms and lack of a consistent jumper, he's a big-time risk. You just drafted Zeller, and since I'm not sure how much you're going to be paying McRoberts to keep him, it would make sense, but I would care if Cho passed on him unless he choose someone like McDermott, which would be stupid.

    • I realize we were down 24 points when the Carolina Panthers touched the ball  for the first and only time  in the 3rd quarter...and they went on a 14 play checkdown drive taking the exact plays the Cards wanted them too and gave them overall.  and now you got folks cherry picking random plays asking how could it be garbage time if the Cards weren't in prevent on a 3rd down short yardage play or on the goal.  all you got do to is just watch the game live on repeat and not listen to the announcers.
    • Just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. I think Bryce decides who he's throwing to before the snap too often instead of reading what he sees post snap. Now alot of that is trying to influence the safety, but if the safety doesn't bite, he gets stuck and it turns into Bryce trying to make a play off schedule as the other options are gone. Cam did the same thing when Kelvin and Smitty were in the game. Bryce sees the field. He just gets a little stubborn sometimes. And that's when he gets himself into trouble. That and he doesn't trust guys to make plays on 3rd down. Instead of throwing to the open guy and letting them get the remaining 3-5 yards for the first, he'll wait until he can throw a guy to the markers. I don't think those physical limitations that keep being brought up is that real for him. Well... until he gets tackled and fumbles the ball at an alarming rate. But he has a strong enough arm, sees the field, and doesn't get injured by regular hits.
    • Panthers win of course.  Like every Sunday I still have the hopelessly optimistic mindset  😎
