136,000 car stolen from Panthers player

The funny part is, he would have never gotten that $136k back in re-sale value... but if he's got all of the receipts, proof of purchase/labor and good insurance, he'll probably get most if not all of that back.

You dont really do this kind of stuff to a car and then try to sell it for what you put into it. Most people would just spend the money and do their own. The car is pretty much yours for life.

Christ.

136k for a chevy.

Like Hammer putting an 8mil house in Oakland.

Stupid.

For 136 he could have had a Maserati Quattroporte

Same 4 doors, power, comfort, style, sh*t it is beautiful.

But any rich MoFo can buy that car. Its all about personalizing and making it your own. Not really my style, but I understand why he did it. You want something like no one else, and put a little of your personality in it.

But any rich mofo can turn a POS domestic car in to a tricked out hunk of personalized crap too.

Style.

Class.

And if I can buy the Maserati I can get it worked on too. Somewhere.

I don't get your point, a whole lotta rich mofo's drive maseratis. And those things aren't even that great. Before they got taken over by ferrari they were poo.

They all know it's a litte silly, it's just part of the charm. In the communities where these guys come from it's all about your car. Other guys do the same things with diesel trucks.

wow, that really sucks for TD he had allot of time and money in that car. i used to work at DIRTY SOUTH in Charlotte a couple years ago. it was actually his rookie season. he came in and we did all the upholstery, and i was actually the one that did the TVs in the doors and speakers in the trunk. personally i prefer old hot rods, but what he had was called a "DONK" and is really popular in the south. if i remember right the rims were 26" foose wheels. and we used a 6 inch Chevy silverado lift to make it work. even though i dont care much for "donks" i feel his pain i had a highly modified import stolen a few years back. found it the next day striped down behind the airport so im sure his was striped down pretty fast
