For those who knock our schedule

Panthers have more wins against teams with winning records than Denver and Kansas City COMBINED.

You play who you play....people only selectively use the "you haven't played anyone card".

Anyone heard that said about Denver? That they have just beat up on bad teams?

Well, everyone has said that about KC. It's not like people are saying it is Carolina's fault they haven't played a tough schedule. People are just reserving judgment about how good Carolina really is until they can beat a few good teams. It's a non knee-jerk reaction.

As far as Denver goes, they have Peyton Manning. I mean, Peyton Manning is enough on his own to get a pass for playing a weak schedule.

Pat's haven't exactly played a murderer's row either.

They beat the Saints in Foxboro.

The beat the Bills and Jets by a combined 5 points.

They beat Atl by a TD

Killed TB

Lost to the Bengals and Jets (second game)

Beat Miami by 10.

Their only "convincing wins came against the Bucs (1-8) and the Steelers (3-6).

They've lost 2 of their 3 road games and are about to add another loss on the road.

Did they watch the Rams (team we beat comfortably with their starting QB (a former #1 overall pick) against the Seahawks and Colts (without their starting QB)? If the Colts/Rams game in particular was a fight, the refs would have stopped it early to spare everyone the carnage. And, speaking of easy schedules, the AFC south? You gotta be kidding me.

    • Sellers is absolutely one to keep an eye on. Could be the next Cam or could be the next Anthony Richardson. Curious to see how he has progressed come this fall.
    • I think Texas could go 0-12 and he would still go #1 based on his name and traits like you say.  But nusselman and sellers may be actually better qbs.    Man if bryce stinks it up this season its looking like a damn good year to swap out qbs.  Sellers highlights are just fuging jaw dropping
    • I mean, the kid comes from a wealthy family. It's not like he needs the money. He has a ton of potential now we get to see what he can do as a starter. Everyone penciling him in as the #1 overall pick is putting the cart way before the horse. It's 5% because of his talent and what he's showing on the field and 95% because his last name is Manning. And if he is what he's hyped to be the Texas coaching staff needs to be answering some tough questions about why the kid wasn't on the field sooner. Ewers was a good college QB but he's definitely not a "keep a future #1 overall pick waiting" type of college QB. Only getting one season out of a top NFL talent because you chose to keep him buried behind a borderline NFL talent is just coaching negligence. Not starting him as a true freshman? Yeah, I get that. But on year two if the kids is what he's hyped to be you gotta wish Ewers well elsewhere and turn the page.
