I see 12-4 in our future

if Saints lose to Seattle and split with us and we win out and split with the Saints we will both be 12-4 same Division records(5-1) same common opponents (11-3) here is where we lose Conferences record (Saints 12-2) (Carolina 11-3) Saints win Division poor us :notfair:

I thought that after reg season record and division record; the next tiebreaker is most recent head-to-head matchup, which would be in Charlotte

I agree. This is the best path to that #2 Seed. Go into atl. 12-3. We get to be that team that rests its starters. All because we swept the aints.

I really dnt want to rest the starters for 2 weeks. I agree we would love a bye in the playoffs tho. Homefield advantage would be huge, esp if it was rockn like MNF. Although, it would be awesome to beat ATL with our backups.....WE WOULD OWN THEM-----> I'm lookin at you LetsGoATL!

we need to sweep the Saint to get the Division crown.

Probably because if both teams win out except for a split vs. each other, New Orleans would get the tie breaker.  Atlanta could make some noise at home vs. New Orleans or the Panthers--New Orleans still needs to go to Seattle in 11 days to play the 12th man-

It is possible that we both finish 12-4, but that has not happened much, if ever, in the same division.  Imagine how pissed we would be at 12-4 having to travel to 7-9 Philly to play.

My bet on 13 - 3 if no major injury.

If the Panthers are heading to the superbowl and this time for the victory, they need to destroy every teams on their way!

And we now all know the team is strong enough to do that.

I am a litle woried still, the Pats clearly played on our weaknesses White and Bell and this is why i am hidding this message. :-)

well Head to Head is the first tie breaker but since i said we would split with them then it would go to Division>Common opp>Conferences rec. So only way for us to win the division is either A. we finish with a better record B. We sweep them and finish tie or better C. we split with them and they drop 1 game to either Atl or TB

    • The new (released today) FOX ONE app will allow you access to watch your Local FOX Station - similar to how the Paramount Plus app allows you access to watch your local CBS station It'll cost you $20/month for the privilege, but if you're having trouble accessing the over-the-air antenna for FOX, this could be an option to consider the new ESPN app will give you access to ESPN content, but not to the local ABC affiliate. A reminder: if you currently get ESPN via some TV provider (cable, satellite, youtube, etc) then you should be able to use the new ESPN app via your provider login, no additional payment required
    • Not even close!!! BURNS was a one trick pony who had a big game or two a year in the sack collum and was invinsible the rest of the time....   Heck hes gonna be the Giants fourth best rusher this year.
    • XL went to one of the worst teams in the NFL.  One that features a weak passing O and bad overall QB play on the season.   XL is getting way too much hate IMO.   He had an okay rookie season all things considered.   Very much on par w/ prospects that projected around the same area with him.   Panthers made a 2nd rounder a first round technicality for that contract.  XL also getting this weird kicker type blame for games.  XL somehow single handedly lost us games on one play.....and then we ignore the rest of the team that went about losing the game for 4 quarters.   Should he of caught the Philly ball? 100%.  The O and D still played like garbage that entire game.  Even after the drop, Panthers had two shots starting w/ a 3rd and 4 to convert.  They kept playing bad instead.  And even if we XL made the play....Philly would have had a minute and half to get into FG range to win it.  Who is banking on the Panther D getting that stop?  also, I am deemed Mr. Negative, yet here I am defending a no good dirty Gamecock lol
