Matt Willig - Still Acting

Decided that I needed a day off this week to help recover from MNF (getting old stinks) and decided to rent a movie with the wife.  Watched 'We're the Millers' and saw an old Panther face - Matt Willig.  He's been on a few shows / commercials since his days with the Panthers.  I recall him getting torched by fans for his play on the field ... but always seemed like a decent guy during interviews and in the community. 

 

He's a big dude.

I don't think that happened to Willig.  That happened to Orlando Brown (of the Browns, oddly enough).

 

Willig was the one who picked up a flag thrown at his feet and threw it back at the ref, drawing another (unwarranted) flag.

Speaking of acting, if they ever do "the Cam Newton Story" they should audition a young actor named Kofi Siriboe (IMDb)

 

Caught him on an episode of CSI.  He'd need to beef up, but a really good resemblance.

Willig was the one who picked up a flag thrown at his feet and threw it back at the ref, drawing another (unwarranted) flag.

 

 

Was that Willig?  I remember that play but not the player ... too funny.  That's going back a few years.  Seems like forever since K Greene grabbed one of our coaches and made a big scene on the sidelines.

I was at Dock Street Oyster Bar in Wilmington 2 summers ago when they were filming the Brass&Ass strip club scene. The strip club was literally right across the street (it was an abandonded old building in real life) and we got to have a first hand experience of what it was like to see a major hollywood movie production. It was awesome and I had a ton of pictures on my old iphone.

It was indeed Willig who picked up the flag and threw it back at the ref costing us the game. In hind sight a win in that game would have had the red hot Panthers in the playoffs at 8-8. The game was against Denver (I don't remember if it was home or away).
