ESPN article on QB success where drafted

Well, he didn't call Cam a bust, so you're wrong on that part. But lol at Luck.

I swear, he could get voted into the hall today based on absolutely nothing. Why writers stick to that story line is totally beyond me. He's a decent QB so far. No more, no less.

Notice Cam is a bust after dropped TDs, first downs, and big gains aid in a loss to Arizona, while the league's 21st rated passer is "Hall of Fame discussion" after being lambasted by 29 in the same venue. LMAO, can't make this up.

He does not have Cam as a bust, he has him as "serviceable to very good", which is on a three scale system:

HOF-potential

Servicable-to-very-good

Bust

The only odd reach in his article is Luck being "HOF-potential".  Der.

what article are you reading?

the one in the link says newton will be serviceable to very good. nowhere does it say bust.  I don't even see the word arizona anywhere in the article.

it may be premature to call luck a hofer, but the article isn't as negative as you're trying to make it out to be.

    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
    • Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
