Honestly I feel like a bye week always breaks the rhythm of team on a roll.

I was about to make a thread about this concerning not necessarily the panthers. I don't like that whole bye thingy, I feel it gets any team "out of it". Let them keep playing, ie a WC game.

Though recent history (and even our own) may suggest otherwise, I still want the bye. Simply put-one less game=one less chance for a loss and also at least one home playoff game.

I'd care more about home field than pretty much any other factor.

Rivera is a changed coach since our bye this year. I wouldn't mind at all going into the playoffs as the 2nd seed and take that wildcard bye.

I think it's safe to say that the winner of the NFCS will have home field in the second spot at minimum, therefore I don't see us hosting a first round game.

 

Definitely don't want to go on the road in the playoffs, but we did in 2005 and was okay until the championship game.

Definitely a question worth asking.

I had fears playing Atlanta, coming off a mini bye.

I was wrong.

I feel that that we slept on the Cards.

I also feel the 9er's ( to an extent ) slept on us.

As did the patriots. Maybe not the coaches, but those cocky players.

That said, I feel no matter the opponent noboby overlooks you once you are in the playoffs.

everyone takes a week off before the Superbowl.  They'd better learn how to come out strong after a break.

 

 

incidentally...I'm against the week off prior to the superbowl.  all the momentum gets lost.
