Mario Addison is a PFF Superstar

Sometimes, when things are going well for you as a team, things just seem to fall into place. That’s what happened for the Carolina Panthers, who saw Mario Addison (+6.3) go out and dominate as a pass rusher as he filled in for the injured Charles Johnson. An undrafted free agent out of Troy State in 2011, Addison exploded in just the second start of his career, making life miserable for Miami Dolphins’ left tackle Bryant McKinnie.

He started as he meant to go on, beating McKinnie inside on the very first play from scrimmage, drawing help from the left guard in the process. That was just the beginning as he would go on to beat him inside for a pressure, then outside for a sack, both on third downs, in the first five minutes of the game alone. He didn’t let up as the game went on, beating him routinely and finishing the game with a sack, three hits, and six quarterback hurries, with all but one of those pressures coming against McKinnie.

Good poo. I'm liking our pass rushing depth.

Not meaning to change the subject away from Mario Addison but is anyone familiar with Former Detroit Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson?

I notice he is a free agent that was a previous high round draft choice. I certainly hope, like everyone else,we resign Greg Hardy, still it never hurts to check out other available player options in case that doesn't happen..

When CJ is healthy, each our starting DL is close to 300 lbs. Really helps us with stopping the run,.like having 4 DT out there. Mario can't quite be as.effective stopping the run, but he offers speed as a rusher and a nonstop motor that I greatly appreciate. He did great against the.Fins getting pressure with 2nd and 3rd effort

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
