First I would like to point out that those that complain about Godfrey not helping out over the top, need to look at the last two games. There have been numerous plays where the S is no where to be seen. It just may be the scheme not the player.

 

Lester is a rookie, and undrafted one at that. He has shown multiple times why. Bad angles, trailing the play, and bad tackling. Picking off a few passes does not cover those mistakes in my book. He may become a solid starter some day, but I don't see it from him.

 

Mitchell and Mikell are playing well. If Godfrey is healthy, and willing to restructure, I say let him compete for a spot. If he makes the team he gets paid, if he doesn't make the team. See ya.

 

As for being around and trying to help his team. I know this isn't new...but most guys do that. Especially, if like Godfrey, they live in the area.

The dead money is the acceleration against the cap, which would be 2 million. Freeing up 5.1.

Charles is by no means a bad player. He's just been very inconsistent and mistake prone. He's not better than any of our current starters. I thin'k we have to let him go.

Godfrey is awful, he'll get cut and may get brought back for vet minimum.(no one else is going to want him)

 

He can't tackle, he can't cover, and I am pressure sure he got beat by a blade of grass for a TD last year....
