Not giving up on HFA = rooting for taints?

First things first, gotta take care of the bucs on Sunday.  But if we do it sets up an interesting dilemma for Panther Fans on MNF.....

Do we root for the taints?

We have already lost the head 2 head with Seattle, we need them to collect some "L's". Specifically 2-2 down the stretch.

We have both games left with Saints and control that destiny.  Plus I think we match up better than many expect against teams like the taints.

On Tuesday early morning, we could be tied with the saints for the division record with a seahawk victory.  But why settle for division title?  With a Saint victory (and with us beating the bucs) we would be 9-3, Saints would be 10-2 and Seahawks would be 10-2.

We put up 2 losses on the taints, and the seahawks lose 2 of 3 remaining NFC West Division games (not out of the question) and we are in drivers seat for HFA.  Obviously a lot of variables but not out of the question.  We have to win out.

Remaining games after this week;

Panthers          @ saints, jets, saints, @ falcons

Saints               panthers, @rams, @panthers, bucs

Seahawks         @niners, @giants, cards, rams

So again, how important is this game tomorrow?  We aren't out of HFA..... so root for the taints or set our sights on division title by rooting for a taint loss?

  Sounds good to me - but only after:

We give the deed to our country to Iran.

We admit soccer is a sport - and Nascar too.

We tell the satellite company we'll drop NFL Network for an extra Hallmark Channel.

Its highly improbable that we'd be able to get the #1 seed at this point. Even if we finish 13-3, Seattle would have to go 2-3 in its final 5 games, and they are 10-1. Do you really expect them to do that.

Winning the division would be gravy right now because its a 1st round bye and a game at home. If we don't win the division, we have road games against N.O. and Seattle in the playoffs if we are lucky enough to get by in the 1st round against NFCN winner (Lions have enough pieces to beat us in a game, Chicago and GB do not)
