DWill and Blackburn to Start Sunday Night...

I thought Blackburn was playing fine before, you didn't hear his name often but that's not a bad thing.  Since he's coming back from an injury I'm sure Klein will still see plenty of time out there.  This is a GOOD thing, we'll have a better rotation on DL AND LB for this game.   It's possibly Brees will have us on the field more often than usual (God I hope not) so having guys not tire out completely will be key.   Blackburn also just has more experience and we are playing one of the smartest and best QBs in the league, where sometimes it's more important to be sharp of the mind than sharp in body.  Klein is the future so we'll definitely see him a lot more.

Blackburn is better against the screen. Which is what Sproles, and all those mediocre receivers will be used for.

Exactly.

Blackburn was playing great when he got hurt. He is also a vet who isuch less likely to miss aa assignment.

Miss an assignment on sproles and he will take it to the house.

I think Blackburn was regressing after his initial sharpe play replacing Beason....

My put him in the DWill category on the year ..his first couple games were nice this year and then people overlooked when he started slippin. I think Klien looked much better than the later season version of Chase

I'll take a vet against Brees any day.  Klein might be younger and more conditioned at this point [especially due to Blackburn's injury], but Chase was playing well before, who is to say he doesn't continue.  Regardless, adjustment can always be made if that ONE linebacker spot isn't performing.  We will probably be in a nickel [2 backer] set for a majority of the game anyway.  So, it will be whatever headless chick we line-up in that spot that will be the crucial position, because TD and Kuechly can't assist the secondary and cover the back field too.

It's hard to question Ron and McD when it comes to defense this year. I'm sure the best performer will take the most snaps between Klein and Blackburn.

I'm excited to have D'angelo back and to be honest I hope he gets 15-20 touches. That will be enough for him to break two runs wide open. Obviously this won't happen if we fall back more than 7.

So long as both BlackBurn and Klein is splitting time. I'm good with the choice. Klein has done very well the past 3 weeks as starter. The guy will just get better as time goes on. Plus I see Klein been a starter next year since Blackburn is a one year deal. But if Blackburn comes out struggling. I see Ron giving Klein more playing time through out the game on Sunday. So I'm to mad about the choice Ron made with Blackburn as starter a head of Klein.
