I expect the coaches are past ready to move on from Bell now despite how much they appreciated him at one point. But he's all we've got this season, so let's hope he can put some decent games together down the stretch.

I seem to remember way back in the day that an injury forced us to play Wharton and Gross at the tackles. How did that go, and would that be an option at this point in their careers?

I'll tell you one thing without Cam we might not have made gotten a single first down last night. Someone made a great point that I remember reading. They said when the Saints played the Seahawks they had to game plan for Seattles offense. When they play Carolina they have to game plan for Cam Newton. What does that tell you?

You play with what you have. Unfortunately, he's a great back up, not a starter. The alternative is worse. Next year he will be replaced.

Gave up 2 sacks today, so it should be 7 now

would be even higher if Cam wasn't such an escape artist

You are just seeing what you want to see. I am a big fan of Cam. I am a big fan of the entire team. Being the star QB doesn't put you above criticism, it makes you the target for it.
