Without reading past the first page, everything has already been said, but I'll put it all in one post anyway because I like seeing my posts.

1) Get into your seat before kickoff and start the noise during intros. It will carry over.
2) Yell a lot. If your throat isn't sore by the end of the game, you didn't do enough.
3) Bang seats like you're trying to break them (note: do not actually try to break them)
4) Often encourage fans to get in on it. What I do just before player intros is warn all of those around me that I will be standing on defense the entire game and being loud. Most will say "me too", but a few won't say anything and at first, won't join in. By the 2nd quarter, there are enough of us doing it that they let loose and at least pat the seat and make a little noise.
5) Be sure to congratulate the strangers around you after big plays. High fives and hugs for everybody makes the crowd around you come together. Most people only acknowledge the people they came with. Bring the fellow fans you don't know into your celebratory shenanigans.

And, one more that may or may not apply, get poo hammered drunk. Drunkenness leads to loudness. It's science.

Anybody have any idea how loud it has gotten at BOA in decibels? The following is per Guinness World records website:

The loudest crowd roar at a sports stadium is 137.6 dbA and was achieved by fans of the Seattle Seahawks, aka "Volume 12 - The Seahawks 12th Man" (USA), at Centurylink Stadium in Seattle, Washington, USA, on 2 December 2013.

The record was achieved with 12 mins 29 secs left to play in the second quarter during a 3rd down Seahawks defensive stand.

FYI: 125 dB is the level where sound starts to become painful.

someone (zod maybe?) said on twitter that he was measuring with a phone app. I guess he couldn't tweet and use the app at the same time. I never saw the results
