While the issues with the DBs can be compensated for by the play of the front 7, there's nothing to compensate for a pretty bad O-line despite the team's record. Look no further than the team's rushing numbers.

There were a couple of sacks where WRs were simply not getting open, but I was super pizzed at Chandler with the sack on our second to last drive. He just got manhandled.

The saints are a 5th ranked D, of course they will get some sacks. Our D will also get sacks. Even Cam at the presser said what a good job the O-line did at the end to allow him time to make the winning passes.

That is the problem.  Sometimes they look good. Sometimes they look horrible.  For as many times as Cam holds the ball to long and gets sacked... I think there are 3 times as many times he avoids the sack or scrambles. If we had a non mobile QB I think the blaring deficiencies in the OL would show up more.  

 

I think it's a 2 fold issue,  1 our WR don't get open in man coverage very much.  Either the route tree or individual ability is the problem depends on who the WR is.   We really, really need to upgrade that position.
