Rams on a roll...Seahawks had a leg chopped off yesterday...now what?

Let's say that the stars align next week and the Seahawks loss really got to them and they lose to the rolling Rams who are looking to prove a point.

What all needs to happen for us to end up the #1 seed?  If we win and hawks lose, what else?

Before you slam me, this season has proven that anything is possible with our Panthers.

Thanks!

I believe we would get the #1 seed if:

We win in Atlanta

Seattle loses in St Louis

49ers win both tonight (against Atlanta) and next week against Arizona

SF would win the NFC West with a 12-4 record...tied with us.  But, we hold the tiebreaker

4 things have to happen....but all are VERY possible.

i'm no pooing over this idea.

we started the season 1-3 with a coach on the hotseat and were looking at a third non-winning season with that coach and still no winning records since '08 and moved to a team that we were happy was able to break even to a team that might have a chance at the playoffs to a team that is now looking at the #2 season and a 12 win season?

none of this was expected. things really fell the right way for us to get this far. i don't see why things wouldn't fall in place for us to have the #1 seed and home field advantage over the seahawks.

STL is the weak link in this scenario and they can beat anybody. SF will take care of business for sure.

    • I am not sure it should be a ‘sell out to go to the SB’ season. And hope they don’t.  At the same time I was thinking you absolutely must find out if you want to pay for Bryce or not. That means putting it on him. No protecting and trying to hide weaknesses with the run game and a super conservative calls.  So I wish they would do it and find out, win or lose, 2026. No more developing. Time to do it. Let’s see once and for all.
    • My biggest fear with Bryce Young is that he will always do just enough to stick around. He shows flashes and then drops a turd so the hopium is always there. Like his career highlight reel if you cut it up to some hype music and did a YouTube video would actually be quite good. His great plays really, really look good. But after that video you look at his yearly averages for completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, and virtually every other metric and it is meh as fug. Like you know Bryce is gonna be 13/23 for 157 yards a touchdown and probably a pick.  I will 100% give him his flowers for his athleticism and ability to scramble outside the pocket. I haven’t seen the mythical “super processing ability” he was touted for per se, but he has shown flashes of absolutely elite awareness when it comes to scrambling. The little basketball move he does to shake defensive linemen has almost become a signature move. It’s hard to explain but you know it when you see it he stops on a dime and pivots like he is gonna hit a step back jumper and it has gotten him out of a lot of trouble.  I sincerely, truly, as a vocal Bryce HATER, hope that since we are obviously running with him next year the coaching staff actually tailors plays around his strengths. He needs to be in a pure spread IMO. His size is much less of a hindrance when he can play QB in open space. I feel like most of his highlight reel is from scrambles and play action/bootlegs.
