Catman May Not Make The Game

Disinfranchised

Recommended Posts

He does not have to pay, he has got comp tix since 04. At one point he was trying to charge the panthers and the bobcats for his appearance as well.

Seriously?

Then I shall become Catman 2

Best of luck to him though. He is an icon in Panther history.

I was diagnosed with CHF ironically enough right after going to the Buffalo game earlier this year. For those that don't understand, your heart has an ejection fraction which measures how hard your blood squirts out the left side when it contracts. Approximately 50% is normal for humans. Mine turned out to be 10-15%. What's worse is I'm only 32. I, and most others with the condition, take Lasix everyday to get rid of the excess fluid backup in our lungs and legs like the poster quoted. It doesn't really effect me day to day other than being tired and really staying on top of the prescriptions. You must avoid any taxing/stressful behavior too.

I disagree with whether it can get better or not though. It can get better. Sometimes the cause is viral and at that point you can see your EF raise back up to normal levels in a year or so. If it is caused by coronary artery disease or another root, there are also options there too. I find out the beginning of March if mine is viral or not. Fingers crossed.

Get well Catman. Much love and I'm thinking of you.

KEEP POUNDING

I remember when he won the "new" truck from Foxes Guchi.  After the game Guchi gave him a matchbox truck.  Fans raised so much hell that FOX had to give him a real truck. I saw him at a game later and ask did they just lease one for a while.  He said no, they gave him a truck all expenses paid.  I hope he makes ity but if he has a bad ticker, he don't need to be watching any Panther game.

HA! Sorry man I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. That's actually a tailgate special from Bojangles.

My handle on every other website is BojanglesSweetT, and I wanted to register that here a little while back, but then it told me I made a handle with my email here years ago before I went universal with BojanglesSweetT.

Any way to change handles using the same email?

Catman news update:

http://www.journalnow.com/news/local/article_4c47e1be-7a53-11e3-a849-0019bb30f31a.html

Greg “Catman” Good, the Carolina Panthers No. 1 fan, says his doctor will decide Saturday whether to release him from Forsyth Medical Center so he can attend the team’s home playoff game Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers

If he doesn’t attend the game, he wants the Panthers’ fans to cheer loudly in his absence.

They just did a piece on Catman on News 14. They talked about one of his favorite moments as a fan. It involved Panthers WR Mark Carrier. News 14 showed 2 pics. One was of the Panthers receiver Mark Carrier. Then the next pic was of the other Mark Carrier that played safety for the Lions. Epic fail.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
