Great cinematography, great acting by Juaquin Phoenix, but empty feeling plot.  Very empty.

I liked it for about 20 mins then it just felt empty like you said and i was just looking at my watch wondering when this was going to be over. The best parts of the movie is his interaction with his 3d video game that little fuger is awsome

Watched it yesterday, thought it was good for what it was going for. I liked the fact the director didn't fall into the trap so many filmmakers fall into and try to beat the audience with some type of social commentary.

 

I still have questions about the ending though.

I love his vision, expression of imagery, and his aesthetics. But, sometimes I think he may get too "artsy" to the point it becomes too abstract for one to decipher any meaning from some of his works. "Her" appears to be one of those works.

Really excited to see this soon. Hated Being John Malkovic though, that's a really overrated movie IMO.
