Drug Tests

I meant job interviews from outside candidates. I have been drug tested at every company I have gone to work for.

I passed all if them...did not have to worry about it...because I chose not to use drugs.

I gave a hard time feeling sorry for someone who does not get hired because they failed a drug test. It is a decision that they, and they alone make.

Yep.  I hate to admit it but you're right.  Even though a lot of people don't consider it a "drug", it's still considered a drug by a big portion of our society and of course legal standards and I should prob take a good break going into the corporate world.

This made me feel good.  I'm basically doing the same.  Running 10 miles on the elliptical every day and doing the steam room for 30 min.  2+ bottles of cran juice and ~1 gallon of water a day.

10 f*cking miles???  You should be clean after 1 run.  :)

I see so much tax revenue missed in this thread.

Oh the schools pot could build...

Build schools, pay teachers, actually supply supplies. If only.

That all would be great, but I wonder what they'd actually do with the taxes.  Why can't we afford  new schools and more teachers? Where is all the $ from the "education lottery"?

Not true. As I said earlier, I've passed many tests diluting my sample. The only thing ever said to me was "you drink a lot of water".

I hate to tell you but this is true. As a 12 year veteran of the probation system, you can absolutely fail from a diluted sample. I never smoked when I was on probation, so I never had a problem, but I know COUNTLESS people who had tests returned from the lab as a diluted sample. They would immediately just go to their house and make them piss on the spot. You're running a risk by just using a dilution method. You more than likely just got lucky.

Maybe so. Luck has rarely been on my side. Maybe the gods of green were looking favorably upon me.

Depends on the level of the test. Some companies use the lower and cheaper tests. But, the more advanced ones also identify higher levels of water in the system...which will trigger a failed/questionable result.

We have always used the higher tests when we hire executive candidates.

Dilution is one method of red flagging.  Abnormal amounts of other chemicals in the urine send up red flags as well.  Funny thing is...scientists read too.  Notification to company/authorities asking for testing to surprise test after saying they'd "passed".

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
