2-0 Without Waker

Recommended Posts

Well this is awkward...

The Bobcats are 2-0 without Walker and both those wins came over teams that are above .500 (Raptors, Clippers)

Sessions and Pargo seem to be playing pretty well in Walker's absence.

Sessions vs. Toronto: 23 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal

Sessions vs. Los Angeles: 10 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block

Pargo vs. Toronto: 11 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds 1 steal

Pargo vs. Los Angeles: 11 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal

Jefferson also recorded his 4th straight double-double and his 18th overall.

The Cats are currently in 8th place, one game up on Detroit and one game back of Brooklyn.

I know tee is kind of saying that in jest, but I really do think Pargo should've been getting more minutes. Honestly, I think Kemba being out has actually made Al an even bigger piece of the puzzle now, and he's doing what he was brought in here to do.

It definitely raises some weird questions.

Well it looks like it is going to be impossible to not make the playoffs, the Knicks are imploding, it is taking Cleveland longer than anyone thought to get adjusted to playing with Deng and meanwhile we just keep on winning. What is going to be bad is if the Pistons get rid of Monroe for a future 1st and fall into one of the worst eight records in the league. I think it would be okay to make the playoffs as long as we get the Detroit (prob 9th, 10th, or 15th unless they start tanking) and Portland picks but if we end up with only the late first and a second it will be a huge mistake.

5 out of our next 6 games are on the road and then we return home to play the Spurs.

We then have a 6 game stretch where 3 - 3 looks possible before going on our toughest portion of the schedule all year (@San Antonio, @OKC, @Miami, and Indiana at home).

I don't see us doing much better than 5 - 12 over the 17 games mentioned above, but that may not be bad enough to keep us out of the playoffs in the atrocious Eastern conference.

Did I not tell you guys this like years ago? :)

Told you guys that Kemba is not the kind of player that we are going to struggle if he's not in the lineup.

Feels like I am Nostradamus. I really dont know how you guys cant see these things. I mean it's right there to see if you guys just quit blinding yourself.

yeah...never been a fan of kemba. inconsistent volume shooter and less than stellar playmaker. I just don't see him as the face of the franchise

Yes after 2 games you come out from under a rock to say "Kemba is not that important". Where were you when he was making game winning shots and putting the team on his back this year?

And you were wrong then as you are now. I love how Michael Kaybongo looks??

    • I would say that he's pulling things out of his ass to get people to visit his site.
    • Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.    And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.    I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.    I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.
    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
