Riley Cooper would you want him

We also did not see any footage about the people that he was referring to in that video..For all we know, they could have been pushing his buttons for a while. He was obviously defensive in that video. Im not racist, but if white or black people want to act tough and thuggish, I may have some negative words for them as well.

Yes it is. Do you know what the events that lead up to the racial comments were? You can tell there was a dispute before the video was taken. Someone was obviously trying to hold him back. We dont know what they were though. They could have been screaming "stupid cracker" for all we know..Not defending anything he said, but we don't know the full reason for his outrage. The media focused on the reaction, not the story.

Nope. He felt safe to be a racist around his white friends, he wouldn't have given what he did a second thought if he hadn't been caught on video.

Keep him away from this team.

Yeah, and ESPN and CNN feel safe being racist and sexist by pointing out that people are hired based on their skin color or they are not hired based on their skin color.

Maybe he wasn't being racist, if he was being called a cracker then would it have been called for?

I'd rather have him and Eric Decker than Lafell and Armanti.( I know Armanti was cut but that's what we had last offseason)

Bottom line is that I've heard far worse things in similar situations from people of all colors. He's a big dude who can go up and get the ball.

The only point I'm trying to make is we cant take everything the media gives us as the "truth". Riley is more than likely a spoiled kid that rightfully was exposed as a racist punk.

Rightfully exposed a racist you say? It's really difficult to fathom being an outright racist in this sport. People said Richie Incognito was racist for his statements. I seriously doubt that considering Pouncey had no problem at all with Richie.

    • I appreciate the efforts you've made here with this data. As concerned as I am about how efficient we are allowing opposing QB's to perform against us I think we can all agree a change of scenery at DC will go a long ways. Equally as important is the simple fact that we have shifted primarily to an offensive identity as a team and the investments of our resources strongly reflect that. If we cannot get better results out of this offense things need to change.
    • Covered that above. As for his weapons I am completely over the scapegoating of the receivers. Been doing this for now going on three full years and I'm done hearing it. At some point if you have a franchise QB he either makes the players around him better or he doesn't. Now if you want to get into Canales I am willing to give him just as much smoke as Bryce because we had options for head coach and we chose to go offensive head coach again to oversee the development of our steep investments in the offense. So far said development is lacking to say the least and we came out of the bye week with the division and playoffs to play for looking like the less motivated team. That is unacceptable.
