Does anyone outside of Charlotte even know what DeAngelo Williams looks like? Maybe not, but someone put this dude on a poster — check his obscene numbers from '08: 1,515 rushing yards (third in NFL), 5.5 yards per carry (first among No. 1 RBs, only the Giants' Derrick Ward was better) and 20 total touchdowns (most in NFL). And John Stewart's not just a cable talk-show host. Carolina's No. 1A RB scored 10 rushing TDs and nearly reached 1,000 yards on his own. The Panthers also really like rookie Mike Goodson after his strong OTAs, plus Brad Hoover gives the run-heavy team solid depth as a blocker, runner and receiver when his number is called.

Could somebody with Fox account explain to SPORTSFAN88 that when you fumble the ball and the other team get's it, that is a BAD thing. It negates all the running you did to get there. I would not doubt if one subtracted yards made on the drives where he fumbled the ball those 9 Times his total would be close to the same as Deangelo Williams and Williams had to split his carries with Stewart. Williams made no fumbles while Stewart a Rookie made only 2 fumbles. Correction They only lost 4 of those 9 fumbles

Williams led the league with 20 TD's and they weren't short yardage set ups either. That is twice as many as Peterson 10 . . . Hell our 2nd string RB Stewart made 10 TD's LOL

Panthers running package smacks Minnesota upside the head statistically.

Unfortunately we didn't have our running game on track when we played Vikings last year early in the season. This Year week we play 15.

Williams and Stewart< Taylor and Peterson....

No brainer

Yes, I'd say that is what you are using there . . . No Brains

You do realize you're saying Williams & Stewart are Less than Taylor & Peterson . . .

Just Williams 20 got more touchdown than Taylor and Peterson combined 13

Total yards 2059 for Viking duo

Total Yards 2351 for Panthers Duo

On what criteria were you finding them better?

If you just got the "greater than" sign mixed up, no worrys, my apologies etc

    • It puts more pressure on being right, I always feel trading back is the move 97/100 times. There are times where you fall in love and if that guy is only 7 spots away and the cost is only a 6th or pick swap......why not?? so long the cost is low, Im more willing to do so.  Still one of the best teams at trading back and they torn apart the Panthers on those trades; Pats. You still have to pick the players, that's what happens. In theory you should also add picks, but it does get to point of eight 3rd rounders or two late 1st and a 2nd?? I mean every draft is different, so the talent maybe not fall off a cliff after pick 50. Case by case deal, but vastly I prefer to trade back.....another curve if you trade back and the scouts/coaches have not planned for it. You have to be ready and know the spot you are trading too (everyone). Just like trading out of 1st round two weeks before the draft, that hurts your team as they have been focused on pick 10 and now its wait until pick 42....

    • IDK, just I know these mock drafts are time "wasters" and even more before FA cause that does change a huge portion of the needs. I think Panthers are in on Lloyd, but just like Milton Williams if the numbers get too high they will change course and still sign one of the lesser ILB. I've also seen reports Panthers want boom back as well, but as STer/backup.   Personally Ive put Wallance in the Ickey, Brooks zone....... Acting like he's not on the team and if he shows out during OTAs, mini, and TC GREEEAT!!! I feel Panthers need to sign at least one and draft 1-2....hell even add another Bam-like UDFA in the UD pool too. Trade is on the table, there have been many trades than past years......   Given the team history, the LB corp is saddest ever. Still the league isnt paying ILB and Panthers finally got with that trend. I do feel Evero wants a IBL that can blitz and everyone wants one able to pass cover.  I feel no matter what, Panthers will draft one in the mid rounds and add a couple in the UDFA class.
