Gentleman isn't stupid. He wouldn't want the tag on hardy if he did not care for him to be on the team in the future. I'm 90% sure the tag is basically a place holder to work out a long term deal this season. And those who don't understand why we are investing in a great pass rush, smh! These aren't running backs

We needed a way to keep Hardy while we get to a point where we can dump a, or both RB's. Hardy isn't the problem. DLo and Stewart are.

Hardy and Gettleman have handicapped us from building a complete team. Gettleman is to DEs as Hurney is to RBs. Hopefully Gettleman can get it done before the season begins, but at the moment I'm cautious of him. I've seen this story play out before not in the team's favor overall many many times in the past.

All he did was tag one DE. How does that compare to what Hurney did with RBs?

Unless he's a Revis or Sherman, that's bullcrap. You do realize The Packers have a crappy pass rush, right? I don't know why fans look at a solid corner like Shields and assume he's mediocre just because his DL can't pressure opposing QBs. It's really simple. If your team has a below average rush, your corners and safeties are gonna appear worse than they are in reality.

 

 

I don't want him not only because I believe he's overrated, but more importantly we don't have the money to keep our own guys much less an overpriced CB

Damn, good for him then if it happens. I'd love for him to be a Panther but the truth is we just can't afford him as it stands right now unless Hardy is dealt. He outplayed Tramon Williams this past year when they were both healthy, he does get burned on rare occasions but he is very solid.
