It's alright guys. When we go 2-14 we'll get a new GM, so we can start over again.

I can't believe this dumbass. He had a 12-4 team, and has completely fuged everything up. Captain was an amazing nickel CB, and proved his worth this year. He was burned, but he was being put in a bad position by the coaches. Hell if Captains hands were a little better he would have had been praised every single week on this forum.

The GM who got us to our first winning season in five years is gonna be fired one year later?

Riiiiight

lolz...that 'dumbass' is the reason we had a 12-4 team in the first place.

"the" reason?

yes. without him as GM, we were likely an 8-8 team at best.

I won't give him credit for Star, because he fell into our laps, but the other draft picks he does.  His draft, house cleaning, restructuring and FA pick ups gave us the team that we had, which was vastly different than the one we had the year before...that went 7-9.  DGs talent evaluation and contract management will be the keys to sustained success.

or without him we draft Star a decent corner and an a better OL. very debateable about G-man.

you gettlemen fans keep drinking the juice but he has all but gutted a playoff team roster

Still on roster...

QB Cam Newton

RB DeAngelo Williams

RB Jonathan Stewart

FB Mike Tolbert

TE Greg Olsen

TE Brandon Williams

C Ryan Kalil

G Amini Silatolu

G Chris Scott

T Byron Bell

DT Star Lotulelei

DT Dwan Edwards

DT Kawaan Short

DE Charles Johnson

DE Greg Hardy

DE Mario Addison

DE Frank Alexander

MLB Luke Kuechly

OLB Thomas Davis

OLB A J Klein

OLB Chase Blackburn

S Robert Lester

S Colin Jones

CB Melvin White

P Brad Nortman

K Graham Gano

LS J J Jansen

On offense, eight of those guys started games last year.  Six started every game.

Over on defense, we've got nine starters back. five of whom started all season.

All of our specialists are back, as is our best gunner.

So of twenty five starting spots (counting the specialists) we've got twenty guys back from last season.

And across the team, six of those guys were in the Pro Bowl last year.  The only Pro Bowler not returning is Jordan Gross, who retired.

Throw in that with Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, Mike Tolbert, Ryan Kalil, Star Lotulelei, Greg Hardy, Charles Johnson and Thomas Davis, you've got eight guys who are in the discussion for best player and/or best young player at their position in the entire league.  Some might throw Greg Olsen and J J Jansen into that discussion too.

And there's still the draft, the remainder of free agency, and training camp cuts yet to come (plus trade options).

Gutted?

you can't be serious with bell and scott...........then we have melvin white as the only returning db, i'm praying godfrey comes back healthy otherwise the roster is fugged barring an amazing draft..........who's at wr.....lafell come on man,i know hurney was bad but you can't sit back and not question DG after this shitstrom of an FA period

it's better to list what we are set at which is qb,rb,lb,d line and ST that's it

We're not set at TE or FB?

And did free agency end today, because I thought we still had a few more months?

Also, we're not allowed to pursue other team's cuts anymore?
