Mike Florio- Panthers not interested in Nicks

Yes it is, I remember last year when people didn't expect poo and where looking at 9-7 season and I was one of the few that believe we would have a breakout season and got the 12-4 record right. I'm willing to bet $$$  we have 13-3 season this year.

Weren't you the one who posted last page, in a road sign sized font, that the organization had hit rock bottom if we don't sign Nicks? I take it we only get 13 wins if Nicks is a Panther. Otherwise, you must have some wild swings in outlook.

There is some truth to the idea of Gettleman not wanting Nicks being a big red flag. He still has contacts in New York and spent years there. He's in as good a position to know what he'd be getting as anyone, including those within the NYG organization.

I'd like to see him here, but if we don't sign him there's probably a damn good reason why.

I was talking about rock bottom in the manner, that today is the worst part of the storm in FA and we are going to start building the team up after the dust settles in FA and Draft.

I agree with this but I'll still be bummed because of the other options don't really excite me and we are in quite a mess at the moment

I don't believe  that moron BUT

Imagine if it was true or even if we don't get nicks....rofl wow

Maybe Gettles is trying to set this whole place up for failure so he can legitimize him firing RR, trading Cam to get his own QB, and canning Shula as well.

Who the fug knows what that dood is thinking right now its beyond words really.

I've been pretty indifferent about the offseason so far.  I can understand both sides on most matters so far and don't think we've taken too much of a step back besides losing Gross, but if we lose out on Nicks, too, I'm going to be bummed.

From what I read, and heard from both the Giants and Panthers.. is that Gettleman is a student of the game and a great evaluator of talent.  We also know that he is fiscally responsible and is not going to do something that puts us back in salary cap purgatory.  If the Nicks signing fell through then it would seem it was probably a money thing.  I would like Nicks but for the right price.  If not then nothing we have done makes sense.
