Perhaps he made the offer, then pulled it, essentially saying, "it isn't the right situation for us."  Maybe cold feet over paying  greater than the 3.5 the Colts did with limited cap room?

 

I don't get why we would make an offer then tell him sign elsewhere?  Then scramble publicly to bring someone in, like LaFell, after we wrote him off.  It makes us look like a joke.

 

I wonder if Nicks is doing us a favor by saying we agreed it wasn't right for either side?  Or is he saying that for himself, so he'll look like less of a bitch who was too scared to be the #1 WR?

I believe nicks wanted to hide behind ty hilton and reggie wayne. Sometimes people just lose passion for the game and i think nicks has lost his passion for it. I predict a very mediocre season for nicks this year i'm glad we didn't pick him up.
