Larry Webster/DE-OLB/Bloomsburg confirmed visits with Tampa Bay & Arizona, visit/workout with Detroit Lions....workout w/Carolina Panthers

Larry Webster is a former basketball player at 6'6 252 pounds. athletic as hell, ran a 4.58 at the combine. compares to Michael Johnson, and his dad is a former NFL player. had 13.5 sacks this past year, and did appear in the east-west game. good development guy in the later rounds.

01/14/14 - 2014 Shrine Game: Defensive line prospects shine on Tuesday...While he's not as polished as Justin Ellis or Cassius Marsh, Bloomsburg DE Larry Webster (6-6, 249) has an athletic and intriguing skill-set that is tough to ignore. He displayed excellent quickness, natural bend and the flexibility to play in space and win with speed off the edge. Webster, who starred for four years on the basketball court in college, needs to get stronger and add meat to his lean, lanky body type, but I expect Webster to essentially take a “redshirt” year as a rookie to take advantage of a NFL weight room and pro coaching. His future in the league is likely at linebacker or maybe even tight end, but regardless, he has exciting potential. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

Damn that Gettleman, already thinking about Hardy's replacement.

easy, easy..

A good DE rotation is very important!   It would be a nice change up to have A physical freak come in, all rested up, giving Hardy/Johnson a breather. Doesn't necessarily mean a replacement. pash rush, pash rush, and more pash rush is NOT a bad thing! Picking a project DE in the late rounds is a luxury we can offord. Groom that bitch.

disclaimer: not saying you undervalue the DE position. I tend to ramble, just like every college fug trying to avoid writing a paper.

    • Yes, first drive was a good run, a sack and a 3/13 Bryce threw for 9.  Then we punted. 2nd drive - 23 yard deep pass to XL (who caught it) - Great pass by Bryce and good catch by XL 26 yard Chuba run - Great run by Chuba 3 yard Chuba run - moving the sticks 6 yard pass to XL (who caught it again) - moving the stick 26 yard run by Chuba - love a balanced attack!!! great run 1 yard run from Chuba - moving the sticks Incomplete pass by Bryce.  5 yard TD pass from Bryce. - Good job by Bryce in the red zone. This was a very good series early in the game where Bryce, Chuba and the team played very well. No turnovers by Bryce.  Chuba had a fumble in the 3rd. Next series: 4 yard run 24 yard pass 15 yard run 8 yard pass 1 yard run 2 yard run 3 yard pass 4 yard run 5 yard penalty Field goal good.   Bryce did not have a very good 2nd half but not horrible either.  He didn't make any mistakes that cost us the game.  He had a 24 yard scramble and a TD pass to Moore called back because because of an illegal formation. That was and is positive progress so soon after he was benched.  All around good team win and while Bryce didn't ball out he had a number of good throws and scrambles and didn't turn the ball over.
    • The defense doesn’t even matter, really.  When we are down 3 scores before anyone has taken their first sip of Gatorade because the offense won’t stay in the field, what does any of it matter?
