this ought to be a nice wake up call to the FO. dwayne robertson is still available. btw, did darwin walker sign w/ someone else? i think remember hearing something like that.

But, how nice would it be if one of the rooks were able to step up in TC or preaseason games and secure the #2 spot (rather than just being labeled the back up)?!

I hope it's a break rather than a high ankle sprain. Heals a lot faster. Of course a regular sprain would be better. Actually, these two injuries on the first day of camp can be a positive thing. Gives two backups who sorely need experience the chance to do so...

Def need some backups brought into Charlotte... Takes 1 injury for us to be hurting. Can't think it will be a smart thing not bringing in someone who can carry the load.

Although, I hope Favorite grows up quick, because I feel he's going to get time regardless...

No one knows what kind of cap room we have.. and like Raging said, we'll find a way.. Hurney really is one of the best when it comes to the cap..

I've been asking the question and heard nothing disputing this.. We had 2 mil under the cap, then we cut Lucas.. We signed rookies, that's it. Not sure the average signing rookies take, but we didn't have a 1st.. I'm guessing we lost 1 mil to do this?

So I'm not so sure we are totally strapped, even though a 1 mil left in the cap isn't much.. but perhaps enough to sign a guy or 2 who won't demand much money and wants to join a playoff caliber team...

Again, I have no idea what kind of room we have, and this is just a guess from events we do know about. Not even saying we have enough to sign someone, but I would expect that the coaches either have a plan or are extremely concerned. I was just stating, I would be concerned.. However, I think we have a little wiggle room and hope if that's the case, we are looking to bring in some depth.

Not always sometimes breaks requre surgery and well thats never good. Still they prob are just being safe and it a simple sprain. Or I just hope it is.

Yeah, but a break from just running would only be a minor fracture and would heal in 4 weeks, while a high ankle sprain might take 8 or 9 weeks to heal. That's all I was saying...

    • This was entertaining af lol. The Good thing is he’ll be making a bunch more crash out videos before the season ends.
    • I haven't seen much indication of a connection yet. He isn't lacking for targets. as he is the 2nd most targeted receiver on the team so far. He does have the 3rd highest QB Rating on targets, though. Behind only Chuba and Evans.
    • Shutting out the Falcons is still a uniter for the fanbase for the most part. It's just not in the way it used to be or what it once was for  multiple reasons. People who feel like they aren't seeing enough rejoice over it are missing the point. Instances like this would carry more weight if they were more frequent against our rivals for one. For two. This place also as has been noted before has taken on an echo chamber effect the last several years where all the losing has given way to factions of fans either fully apathetic or fully doubling and tripling down in defense of the powers that be and moves and decisions that have been made. And as a result from that the huddle has also moved to a distinct complete lack of outside views and chatter that in the past had been a source of change of pace entertainment and also more importantly a uniting force for fans here to rally around each other in opposition to. We used to have a number of Falcons fans visiting here over the years and driving home how much we dislike them. Same with the Saints. We even had some visiting Bucs fans from time to time. That's all long gone. Until we get back to instances like this becoming more commonplace nothing will change.
