Ricky Proehl and Don Gregory having dinner with WR Lattimer

the panthers had one of their senior scouts at his pro day plus this news about dinner with the position coach and director of college scouting.

Now if you noticed in the images you saw Panthers senior college scout Jeff Morrow was watching Latimer in the images, (Morrow is the scout wearing the brown fleece pull over and blue jeans.) Now take this for what you will but with the news of Latimer being used as one of our 30 visits allowed and senior college scout Morrow in attendance I would look at this to be a serious option for Carolina to use a pick on Latimer in the upcoming NFL Draft.

I looked over about 7 mocks from the big mockers--the average # of WRs taken before we pick was between 4 and 5 (about 4.7).  Round it  to 5.

Assume Watkins and Evans are not in the picture.  That leaves 3 more WRs likely to be drafted before we pick.

Beckham, Cooks, Lee, Lattimer.are still on the board.

Personally, I think they will have a choice between Cooks, Lee, and/or Lattimer--at least 2 of these 3.   They will bring/ have brought in all 3 WRs for visits.  Lattimer seems to have garnered the most attention.

It seems we are drafting one of these 3 players in the first round.

Watching the highlight reel Id be suprised if he made it to #28 in the 3rd - guy isnt afraid to get hit.

He'll be there, or someone of similar talent.  Loads of WRs this year.

A top 20 pick is similar to a top 10 pick from last year (quote from a GM)

There will be a lot of first-year starters selected in the fourth and fifth round

as deep across the board as any draft I've seen in 30 years
