2014 NFL Schedule release

Is (as of now) set for Thursday, April 17th in prime time. ( subject to change)

Couple questions:

Who would you like to see Seattle open with? Denver, Green Bay, Giants, Cowboys, Raiders, Rams, niners, or Cards.

Who would you like to see the panthers face in prime time?

Who do we open with?

Assuming the panthers aren't involved, what matchup would you like to see on thanksgiving night?

I would prefer the Seahawks game be middle of the season at 1 pm standard time. Two years ago for no real reason that game was at 4 pm and last year it was the opener, both times negating the west/east travel advantage and both times we lost games we coulda/woulda/shoulda won. Small difference I know but could help. I want to beat their @$$.

1)  Green Bay or Dallas.  That way I can 100% not give a poo because I don't care about any of those three teams.

2)  Home:  Chicago - never seen them play.  Away:  Baltimore - it'd be a good game.

3)  I'd like to see Carolina knock off New Orleans in week 1, but I think the best opponent could be Phili.  It'd be a conference opponent with less pressure and act as a good gauge.  Plus, if you're going to lose to mid-tier teams, you need to do it early.

4)  I hope its not Buffalo, we play @Detroit this year.  Which was our former owner Ralph C. Wilson's hometown.

We get at least 3 primetime games when u make the playoffs

I also think Jerry Richardson declines prime time games, however, Ron Ron may want to make the team more successful during prime time games as we are pretty inconsistent in them (@NO, vs SF last year, NYG year before that which basically spiraled our season out of control)

    • I mean, I could explain it again.  I didn't post a select group in reality, I compared all 12 starts from this season, to all 12 starts from last season.  That is the legit head to head comparison.   and when you do that, there is no improvement in his individual production.  It's worse in yards, scores, and turnovers.  So he did not improve.  when you look a the collective number on the year and then look at per game stats shown.....the fact he stepped on a field when benched for 3 plays at the end of a game and had -4 yards yards skews the per game stats.
    • Why Sam Howell hasn't been given another chance to start on a team after putting up decent numbers on a bad commanders team running for his life (most sacked QB in the league in 2023) is beyond me, especially when you have the likes of Geno Smith, Bryce Young, JJ McCarthy, Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, Trevor Lawrence, and Tua still being given a chance. In 2023: Passing yards (15th) Completion % (14th) Total TDs (12th) YPG (17th) QBR (24th) I think Sam Howell would absolutely kill it in Canales' system. Throw a late rounder the Eagles way and go get him. Still only 25 too. Low risk high reward.
    • We won. But why did we win? Did we win because Bryce led a commanding offense all day? Or, did we win because of 3 extremely well timed turnovers that resulted in a huge swing in points? I'm going with the latter. Bryce did his part, but he did not dominate this game the way you are trying to make it sound.  We beat the Rams on this given Sunday.  He beat a 4-8 Atlanta team. Put up his best game statistically against them aided by 250 YAC. Wouldn't exactly call that a great team, even though they had the best passing D at that time.  We beat GB. He was forgettable and the defense held GB to 13 points with 6 trips into the red zone We beat the Jets. Very good team? 13 points. Offensive juggernaut performance there Dallas and Miami - Rico does something not seen in the NFL in 14 years. 500 yards of offense by a RB. Our offense ran through him. More rushing yards than passing. Bryce was riding his coat tails against the 2 worst defenses in the NFL.  1st ATL win 30-0 - Again, forgettable Bryce performance. Defense destroyed Penix and he imploded.  We won't agree on this at all. We've beaten the Rams with 3 key defensive turnovers resulting in a huge point swing on Stafford's worst performance of the year and GB with our defense making huge defensive stands in the red zone in really bad weather.  Nothing he's done I wouldn't expect from a mid level starting QB in the NFL. But remember. The highs got higher last year and then he went swimming in the sewer to start this year. Insert another mid tier QB behind this line with our RBs and our record is the same if not better.
