Zack Martin a Panther if he follows Moses (in draft) to Promise Land?

Arm length isn't an issue if the player is technically sound.

Gross was plug and play when he was drafted cause he was already a technician.

Martin is a technician. Dominated in school, dominated at the senior bowl. Who cares if his arm length is not ideal. If he's still up there I'd turn in the card and not look back.

didnt care for martin, now i hope hes there. given the FA signing, OL is need.... more specific OL other than C. thats martin, he can play 4 spots and recent reports have him listed higher than lewan to some teams. hope hes a option at 28, but hes likely gone way before 28.

Rob Rang of CBS came out with a big board a few days ago that rated Martin as #13 overall and the #3 OL behind Robinson and Matthews. Next was Lewan at #16 then Su'a-Filo at #29

The vast majority of Martin's school record 52 career starts came at left tackle but his squareish frame and 32 1/4-inch arms will earn him a projection inside to guard for many. Regardless of where he lines up, Martin plays with the controlled aggression I love along the offensive line, latching on and controlling opponents with excellent strength. Martin was the best player on the field in Mobile.

saw a mock that came out today that almost had him falling to us. It had:

Robinson at 5

Matthews at 6

Lewan at 19

Kouandjilo at 20

Moses at 25

Martin at 26

not saying he cant be good, he just isnt ideal...

You don't get ideal, prototype LTs with no question marks at #28. Those guys go in the top 10.

There are 2 to 3 tier one tackles in this draft. I have no idea how we have the rest of them rated.If Gettleman is true to his word the one that is most NFL ready will be the one we want.
