I think many of the hat companies tend to release new hats near preseason, and you can find better buys on them at various online retailers. Last year I was able to get a curved-bill New Era hat for under $10 bucks including shipping on Amazon.com that I really like. (It's selling at the NFL shop now for $25.) But amazon and similar sites seem to be dried up this time of year.

Now that Fowler has his hair cut short and is still wearing those huge hats over his ears he looks like an idiot... I like him tho...

Flat brimmed fitted hats just need to be worn and broken in to fit to your head. Every single player in the MLB is wearing the same exact style. It takes time and patience but once they are fitted to your head and get the natural curve to the brim they look great I think.
