  1. Past hour
  2. With guys like Steve, the sooner you can get out of the conversation, the quicker you can get back to something enjoyable and meaningful. It’s just not worth calling out a narcissist. Steve’s punishment is the hollow life he has made for himself.
  3. Yeah you’re probably right. They are ranked 29th against the pass, which is the worst we have seen this year other than Dallas. They have also allowed 10TD/3INT and 1250 yards passing in the last 4 games, including 452 yards last week to Jacoby Brissett. Yeah, why would they adjust, it’s not like they are a professional football team or anything. They will probably just run goal line or something. You should probably reach out to Bob Saleh and let him know he doesn’t have to adjust, he might forget otherwise.
  4. I understand the concept of the matching the game day food to the city. I think of Fisherman’s Wharf or beans, since the real 49ers ate a lot of them around the camps.
  5. Some won’t, but I read all of what you wrote. Bravo.
  6. That's lame and not funny anymore.
  7. Boy we agree on the dink and dunk. I don’t want to watch that kind of football. I mean okay if you win with it, it could be tolerable but it feels claustrophobic, constrained, limited, boring. But for some reason I love a smash mouth heavy run game that wins the LOS and gets the backs to the second level.
  8. I am really sorry that happened to you they say to never meet your sports heroes i have friends who met mickey mantle when they were young and he was a belligerent alcoholic at the time ut broke their hearts I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Cam Newton. He was the polar opposite of Steve Smith and his public image. Polite. Honest when asked question. You could tell the things that mattered to him and the things that didnt. The disappointments in himself and the things that hurt him those qualities make him quite a good interviewer too i genuinely liked him Im sure as young, rich, sports hero, he has not been a choir boy but there is goodness in him the time i met him i took one of my friends with me from the west coast. She said she didn't like him and wasn’t enthusiastic about meeting him. She left loving him No one can say anything bad about ‘her Cam’ anymore
  9. Agree about oline. They've tried their best to improve that area. But honestly, has it looked like the most expensive oline in the NFL to you? Not just with Bryce. With Dalton's one game where they almost got the old man killed. Also YAC shouldn't always be hitting a guy in stride while he's running full speed. Pickens killed us after the catch and those weren't all hit-in-stride plays. I remember a play in Miami when a guy caught a 5 yards curl and took it like 30-40 yards to the house. We don't have that in Carolina. Horn might be the closest thing to that but he can't get significant PT for whatever reason. If Bryce keeps trusting his receivers to make plays, I think he'll become more consistent. Seemed like he only trusted TMac. And force feeding one receiver isn't sustainable. Defenses will start to blanket him and take him out of the game. And yeah, keep taking deep shots. I hate all that dink and dunk football. Hate it.
  10. Dan Marino sucked too I guess. Washed up Elway carried by Terrell Davis was actually better than prine Elway. Lol
  11. Absolute best case, he is Donta Foreman.
  12. Literally brought it to a one score game against Arizona, a failed final drive doesnt cancel that out and make it garbage time. So you have one (1) touchdown after yapping about all his stats being garbage time. You are the #1 contender for biggest idiot on this board. Bryce has plenty of flaws and can be a very bad qb, but your hate for him is legitimately weird. The weird personal stuff you say about the guy is weird asf
  13. We will disagree on the hiding part. Protecting from turnovers is how I saw it but not worth a million words. I thought the receivers were given better balls than normal, as a result of the QB being sharper with his throws. At the same time when you have games with 11 completions they aren’t getting a lot of chances compared to 31 or whatever it was.
  14. The team has done a lot to make Bryce look good. You list the receivers but let's not forget the most expensive offensive line in the league that's also got its LT on a rookie contract. Are the receivers all pro or pro bowl caliber? With the exception of Tmac possibly making the pro bowl depending on the rest of his season, no. But that doesn't have anything to do with hitting guys in stride Sunday which is something he hasn't really been able to do all season. 250YAC is crazy. It's why guys like Tyreek have always been so deadly at near full speed when it hits their hands. I think if Bryce can do that with much more consistency, and we have the occasional real deep ball or 30 or more to keep safeties honest, Bryce could turn the corner and so could some of the receivers.
  15. I think Bryce balls out again and the Panthers win in a close one. Panthers will have a defender shadow CMC the whole game so I expect he'll be contained to under 100 yards.
  16. Today
  17. yeah, Steve was basically like on any actual topic that approached his flaws/problems.....89 went with the long winded, try to sound like a wise man strategy of just basically just pleading the 5th (and sprinkling in the idea that others could of been wrong or wrong too). also, in terms of the assaults and stuff like that....it feels like old 89, I feel has sort of forgotten his well-documented confessions and apologies about that aspect and era of his and was trying to re-write his story/image in hindsight. And in all honesty, it seemed like a PR move on the twitter/cheating stuff also attempting to play himself as not the bad guy some think with the intentional vague suggestions. and the Pivot and all these athlete moves to basically take the reigns and power from traditional outlets exposes they have just as bad as flaws if not more often than the traditional media folks. I mean I do like the free form long talk when dudes are telling stories but all this stuff is largely flawed and controlled PR often.
  18. Sadly, I agree and I’m a huge Melo fan. Might be time to ship him out. Don’t want to make the same mistakes the Pels did. They should’ve gotten rid of Zion two years ago.
  19. I forgot he was on the team and I'm pulling for him, but the statistics are not in his favor. Some guys can recover from injuries and others cannot and let's hope Brooks is the former. He was a beast in high school and college.
  20. Steve is a big reason I became a Panther fan but I heavily resent him for leaving after 2013 bc he couldn’t put his ego aside and share the spotlight with Cam. Steve on that 2015 team wins us the SB bc he wouldn’t let the Broncos bs slide.
  21. I wish he and Cam would go away and I loved watching both of them play, but I can't stand to hear them commentate or give interviews. Both seem like real jerks when the cameras are not around and especially Smitty.
  22. This past Sunday is definitely a ceiling and required big plays from WRs, TEs and RBs after the catch. I don't feel like Canales was hiding Bryce. It was more like Bryce was playing like he didn't trust his receivers. Playing not to lose instead of playing to win. He has to get out of that mindset, because he's a much better QB when he goes out there as a playmaker. Granted early on in the season, the pass pro was not up to par and Bryce couldn't figure out how to take a sack without fumbling the dang ball.
  23. He consistently hits his 2nd or 3rd read you literally do not know ball
  24. New Orleans and Atlanta were some of the worst rush defenses too Everyone is just selling out as hard as possible because of how bad Bryce Young has been. If the team wants to open it back up at the LOS, it's going to take Bryce taking what they give him week in and week out. Case on point, after that insane performance Sunday, his game CPOE was -0.7%. Translation: He basically took the opportunities given to him. He wasn't threading it into tight windows or making bananas throws. He was just simply taking advantage of the Falcons lack of faith in his ability to throw. That has to continue.
  25. Great WR, HoF worthy, but I hope Luke gets in first
