Draft Week Rumors, Leaks and Media Draftniks Final Mocks
jtm replied to 45catfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think Dan knows who he's picking and I fully expect him to go BPA regardless of the position. For it to be WR or TE, a stud would have to fall and it would have to be someone that the Panthers are in love with and I'd be shocked if this is Sadiq. -
Thanks for the cut to 8 minutes between picks. Less time I have to listen to at least one of the draft talking heads, the better. [cough cough Kiper].
-
Any one of these realistic targets, I'll be happy with in round 1: DT Kayden McDonald S Dillon Thieneman (I'm ok with him because he can play the slot and single high) OT Caleb Lomu I might rage if we draft: S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren (He's a box safety. We have plenty of those) TE Kenyon Sadiq (Tight end bust rate is sky high in the first) Kind of meh if we draft: - OT Blake Miller (Future right tackle starter. Not much to be excited about this year) - WR Omar Cooper (He's good, but receiver again?) - WR KC Concepcion (He's a second round talent, in my mind)
-
If the draft falls like this, they have to get an OT. Unless there's a trade back, then reassess. I don't think Sadiq would be BPA there.
-
It's possible! I didn't want to project it but it does make sense.

LAST MINUTE: ESPN's Matt Miller's final cock draft

Every WR he's ever played with had their last best season with him. Many had their best seasons ever with him. Just saying. -
I’d be happy with any K. McDonald> Thieneman> McNeil-Warren> Sadiq> Iheanachor
-
Hes a 6'8 Uber athletic tackle that can play both sides but has potential to be a top lt in the league. Just needs development. Guys his size that can move like that are pretty generational
-
Proctor is gonna get his doors blown off by NFL edge rushers.
-
I've hardly kept up with the draft this year, so unless it is a WR, I'll probably be happy with whomever we take.
-
Freeling, to me is a pure RT. I’d rather have Max Iheanachor.
-
I just can’t see a scenario where they adore Thieneman and don’t pick swap with Detroit. It would cost next to nothing. Detroit gets a late pick and the opportunity to screw Minnesota, while exchanging what is basically one slot down the board. There hasn’t been much projected overlap in their needs. if he goes 18 then I suspect they liked him but didn’t love him.

It's an awesome movie. The trade scenarios are absurd but it's a movie. Just watch it for the entertainment value vs. nitpicking the realistic of the trade scenarios.

That’s really nice. 15 minutes was ridiculous, especially since the clock always went to the end. I remember fondly when the first pick was pre-announced (before cap/preset values) and sometimes you’d know the top 3 in the first 5 minutes. Should be at our pick at 10:30, which ain’t bad for pick 19.

It’s a ridiculous movie, but incredibly entertaining. It does a great job capturing the inner dynamics of an organization—the owner chasing a splashy move, coaches pushing for their guys, and the GM stuck in the middle, balancing all those pressures while still having to make the right call for the team.

Anytime you're feeling a little blue about our terrible drafting history, just consider this. LOL

Someone, likely Pittsburgh or Miami, will make a move for Simpson.
-
Final prediction: If Thieneman is there we run to the podium. If not, we see if Pittsburgh or Miami want to move up for Simpson.
-
We should riot if freeland is on the board and we don't pick him
-
Glad they reduced the time, hell i would only give every team 5 minutes.
-
Glad they reduced the time to 8 minutes. Between that and all the commercials it's a welcomed change.
-
Oh yeah, QB and I'm going to be sitting there pondering if Bryce gets another chance or if we sit him on the bench as a back-up QB or trade bait for SF or Minnesota.
