  1. Past hour
  2. I used to be an Ultimate Team guy but only in FIFA, which has now been totally ruined from what I've seen. Cool to see Cam as a "Legacy" player in Madden even if it dates me a little bit now.
  3. Plenty of games left for them to go up on the draft board. Beck is trending up and will be in 1st talks if he continues his level of play. Allar can't win the big games and isn't great throwing deep. His accuracy is terrible on vertical routes, but again plenty of games left to prove he can do it. I don't think Allar will be a 1st round pick and if Beck is 1st round, I think it will be late 1st. Not saying your wrong and im right. Just giving my opinion. Will be fun to revisit around draft time. Who knows maybe with more games played I'll begin to match your thinking, but currently Moore, Mendoza, and Mateer are above those guys in my book.
  4. Yeah we delusionals will tend to chirp over what we see as specious claims. I don’t think claiming that the receivers can’t play up to Bryce’s arm which is more or less what I’m seeing, is accurate. But that also doesn’t mean I think they can’t be improved. You guys just blot the actual deep game out of your consciousness to compensate down to his level.
  5. What evidence do you have that Bryce had one of the best deep balls in college? Just curious because outside of highlights it seemed he wasn't very good there. His strength seemed more escaping the pocket and playing outside structure of the offense, rather than a deep ball. His arm was always considered sort of meh - good enough but not great.
  6. Edit: whoah, somehow I just double posted an hour apart
  7. The same folks are going to outright lie in response to this despite the plethora of evidence (including video) that supports it. Best they might have is a random YouTuber that follows the Chargers and got beat up by a little person in a barfight.
  8. Beck will be a Top 5 pick and it's not really even debatable at this point. Allar will be a Top 5 pick as well. Based on what I've seen out of UGA, the issues with Beck's play last year were not all his fault. He clearly took a lot of heat for it but I watch a lot of college football, and there isn't a better draft eligible QB in the country than Beck right now. That's a hill I'll die on.
  9. Well yeah but his arm is not unique. His mix of size, running ability and just being to deliver the blow which QBs just don’t do. Or didn’t. That is what separates him. I think. Passing wise and in particular deep ball wise there are other players that can pretty much make those throws. The velocity was major league with him but they can get a lot closer to Cam than Bryce can.
  10. No it doesn't. Young has one of the worst deep ball completion % and ratings in the league.
  11. Tyson Bagent is the only real player I can think of that I would consider wanting to trade for. He's been in the league 3 or 4 years now, the Bears thought highly enough of him to keep him and sign him to a $10 million extension as a back-up. Clearly he has developed, and he looked really, really good in the preseason. Not just in his numbers but his ball placement, pocket movement, decision making, and execution of the offense. It will never happen, but that's who I would explore if we don't get a shot at Drew Allar or Carson Beck in the draft.
  12. If Bryce was a good QB overall playing well this would be funny. As is, it's not something I get riled up about. As much as I don't want Bryce as our starting QB he really does come across as a genuinely good dude. When I first saw this clip I assumed Bryce was throwing it away but seeing that downfield camera able looking back at him the way he's watching the ball with anticipation I honestly think it was probably just an atrocious attempt at a back shoulder throw. He was watching that ball like he expected a play to be made on it, not with the disinterest of a ball intentionally thrown away.
  13. People were upset with Cam smiling and celebrating TDs with a superman celebration on this board. Just know this board is full of negative people even when the team wins. Can't please em
  14. Dude, Beck is so much more efficient than Ward it's hardly even worth talking about. With Ward I feel like that USF game would have bene a one score affair, the FSU game probably ends up being a loss, and the UF game, with how much better their defense is this year, would have been a lot closer. The reason being because Ward is/was quite careless with the ball and he plays "Super Man ball". You guys are iffy on Beck because he's playing on time, within the framework of the offense. He isn't making the off-schedule plays when the receivers aren't there but when the receivers are on their P's and Q's, Beck can deliver it anywhere, on time, and in phase. You also have to realize that Beck has led Miami to wins over Notre Dame, a ranked USF, a likely Top 20 team in Florida, and now Florida State. He's already led Miami to more marquee wins than Ward had all of last season. I watch a ton of college football. If Beck has the mentality to be great, and will put in the work to be great, he has a chance to be really, really good. Reminds me a lot of Jared Goff honestly, or a Joe Burrow type as a thrower of the ball.
  15. I feel like that if we ever finally win a SB that I'll be able to go back and enjoy '03 and '15 a lot more. It just feels like winning the lottery is more likely than us winning a SB and I didn't even buy a ticket.
  16. My only question is going forward with QB. We have a shot at Ty Simpson, Moore, Sellers or whoever. As a franchise… and a fanbase are we ready to accept that our QB probably will struggle again next year. Cause Ward and Dart have been bad as rookies. The year before Daniel’s played great… but Williams, Maye struggled as rookies and we haven’t seen enough of Penix or JJ to really judge. I do think it’s an awkward spot to put your GM/HC on a make it or break it year and then expect them to roll out with a rookie QB
  17. I won't depress myself by getting wistful about the good ole days. I'll just say I'm so happy that Cam is getting recognition as one of the all-time great players in NFL history. The Panthers will always have that.
  18. I'm going to agree with you here. Part of the problem is that the coach and Bryce himself have been playing scared. When they decide to just go for it and work that ball downfield things work out. Bryce can chuck it, given protection and some work on getting open by the receivers. And as to the original post, yeah, I like Tremayne. I hope we see more out of him. Kid also looks like a bruiser to try and take down if you're the typical DB.
  19. Sometimes players see things from the field coaches cant see from above. When I was an OL I would often come out after a series and talk to coach about small shifts the defense was making to cheat one way or another and how to adjust plays to take advantage. I suspect many players do the same. Different perspectives allow for different calls.
  20. This is comical. Yeah, the "physics" do change in that the pocket is usually muddier, the receivers aren't as wide open, and the defenders close a lot faster both in the pass rush and in coverage on the back end. Bryce absolutely did not have one of the best deep balls in college. Go back and look at the actual play again not just star sheets. You'll see punt balls thrown up to wide open receivers making adjustments to go get the ball or stand around and wait for it to get there. Several of us on here pointed all of these things out leading up to the draft but we're laughed off as haters and told that *scoff*, yeah you guys are seeing something that all the football experts out there can't see? Yeah, right. It was all right there if you watched his college play as it translated to the next level. All the red flags we've seen show up were readily visible.
  21. Canales purposefully doesn't give out game balls. That's not stopping the players from doing it (reference: this week's locker room vid). Player-led recognition helps build team rather than being an award from the coaches. small obs from this week's video? Thought I saw Tep in the back of a shot. Present (which is fine, especially after a win like that), but on video definitely quiet
  22. I love this. I actually enjoy playing MUT because I can build a Panthers team that doesn't suck. And I've been desperately waiting for this card to drop
  23. This is currently my worst nightmare
  24. Like many have said, he apparently decided to go with PFF grades this year but you can't forget the XL and Jonathan Brooks moves his first draft and what he did as an assistant before. I agree with the poster who said he is tied to Canales. This last draft class looks to be very good so far and they were right and i was wrong about Tetairoa.
  25. Legette was not difficult to evaluate. He was clearly not playing well to start
  26. I get the frustration but the reality is that it's very hard to evaluate guys this year beyond TMac because of the position that is supposed to get them the ball.
