  1. Past hour
  2. To be completely fair, Brown was a Marty Hurney pick. On brand, Marty crushed the first round selection and crapped the bed with the rest of the draft (Jeremy Chinn withstanding, but he's not on the roster).
  3. Yeah, Denver is only about 300 miles west of the east/west center of the continental U.S.
  4. It sure is. But its a talent depleted team so they have to go all out to fix it.
  5. From Start to Finish it was one of the most entertaining games I've seen all year: Explosive Plays down the field, great catches, several lead changes w/out either team being able to land a knockout punch, crucial defensive stops/turnovers, and a down to the wire ending. And as you pointed out, Carolina came out on top!
  6. A few more of those and defenses won't be able to stack the box on 4th and short. It adds another wrinkle to the offense.
  7. 4700 yds, 37 td, 12 interception that’s what Goff did last season you’re insane
  8. Because the 5th year has to be picked up after he finishes this year or not at all.
  9. It is indeed May 1st. So they will get some free agency and also the draft if "better" options are found. I do think they will likely make that decision far earlier, however. Ultimately, if you don't pick up the 5th year option, it makes much more sense to try to move Bryce. It's better for him and us, IMO. Let him get a fresh start and another team get the option to decide on that 5th year before the deadline.
  10. They could really win out if Canales keeps his head on calling plays. They just beat the Rams without Jaycee, Moehrig or Rozeboom on defense. Running game is waking up and finally looking like what we thought it would be before the season started, with a great 1-2 punch running the ball. Bryce isn't focusing on TMac as much now with Coker getting back up to speed (he's really our best WR right now, but TMac has the higher ceiling). I think this opens everything up. If they can start taking some deep shots to Jimmy Horn, I think we'll start to see their best football.
  11. He's made more game changing and impactful plays than that one DE/LB who wanted top money. He's definitely earned his money.
  12. Best DT we've ever had. Probably the best DT in the NFL right now.
  13. This tells me rattler and mccarthy are way way better than I thought they were
  14. I was curious so looked up a trent dilfer stats and all from the superbowl and years around it... Byoung and trent dilfer are very simliar and both got 90% of their teams wins by the rest of the team doing what it had to to win despite of the QB. who knows maybe the panthers make the playoffs go on to win the superbowl and Byoung will be talked about like dilfer is when people talk about his superbowl
  15. Definitely appreciate him. He can change the game even without strip sacks and batted passes.
  16. I’ve said it in the past that this team has found brief runs of success this season off of a player or few that decides to turn God mode on for the day. Yesterday Chuba looked like the stud many forgot he was last season. Mike Jack ball hawked a pick 6 to the house? WTF? Derrick m-fin Brown. Does anyone remember the last time a Panthers lineman closed out a big game? That play was classic Jenkins. Coker is a stud (we are VERY fortunate to have him). Tet is a stud. Brown is a stud. Rico is a stud. Ickey is a stud. The O line continues to play much better than they rightfully should be. The depth players by and large have been refreshingly competent. If they would have just played Panthers brand football all season they would probably have 9 wins but it is what it is. I think Bryce is far more comfortable in the game manager role, which for now is ‘ok’… for now. A team that can run the ball at will and has an opportunistic defense is a tough out for anybody, home or away.
  17. True. But that elevation gain is no joke on the lungs.
  18. Take away Bryce's two 4th and short passes and the screen to Chuba and what are you left with on fhe passing game? See how it goes when you selectively eliminate the three best plays? We caught lightning in a bottle yesterday on both sides of the ball. The D was overall not good but had three great plays forcing turnovers taking one back for a TD. The offensive passing game overall was not good but had three big plays resulting in TDs.
  19. I would look on YouTube. I dont believe I have ever seen any x and o analysis on the Huddle
  20. We completed two passes over 10 yards all game, both against goalline defensive sets on 4th and short. Bryce made very good throws on both but most of the rest of his completions were right around the LOS. This is what your passing chart has to look like the beat good teams with Bryce at QB: You missed my point about "Run the ball and hope you can force turnovers" being our recipe for success. Of course that's a recipe for success for anyone. It's just that with us it's really our only recipe for success.
  21. Yeah, the stadium sounded loud as poo through the TV. Can't imagine how loud it got actually being there.
  22. Answered my criticism, not question, that it should be included. Yes. That has to be a component of an NFL offense. Edit: And yeah do it earlier. No doubt. It was pretty obvious why it worked, and is because it was a complete surprise.
  23. Short Deep Dive: The return of and the emergence into an All Pro, Derrick Brown changes the dynamics of the Carolina defense.
  24. 3 of Staffords passes accounted for 117 of his yards. So what. Does that make his performance look worse than it was. Or are other qbs just held to a different standard.
  25. He’s gonna get burned going to that well too often. It only works because it goes against the tendencies. Once they give that strategy some due diligence you are looking at 59/50 balls at best. (In that situation).
