  1. Past hour
  2. Let the young guys develop. You'll be able to trade at least one of them for a big haul in a couple of years.
  3. The complaints about the silver because it isn't in our logo don't really make any logical sense if you're advocating more white. If your position is black and blue as the primary across the board then the most logical third color to offset is silver or gray. At the end of the day though this all seems like putting the cart before the horse. Let's actually see if we can win in primetime and make push for our division the rest of the way and then worry about looking snazzy.
  4. Agree with all points and the power play is the biggest problem in the playoffs. Scoring dries up but the power play has gotten so cold in the playoffs, its almost like we should decline penalties called in our favor.
  5. If the trade value is reasonable, he would be a solid option. You wouldn't be on the hook for a big salary increase until 2027. At that point, he is easy to jettison if it didn't work out. I just don't think he is going to be cheap and I don't think we are going to be a team that bids highly enough for his services in a trade scenario. Him being cut(highly unlikely) is even worse. Now you gotta outbid everyone in the NFL. That's even worse.
  6. I would love to not see Florida in the playoffs. Frankly, I don't want to see any elite goalies. That seems to be our kryptonite.
  7. Today
  8. There is always Bro we have eyes. They saw Sunday and they saw just one week before. GWD is a weak stat to base a player grade on it should really be a team thing. But at any rate we can all see how the QB plays each week. I don’t know why we even need stats at all to be honest. At least for these evaluation purposes. I mean, in GWD you have to look under the hood to make sure you aren’t getting sold a bill of goods. They are fine for keeping records of yards and completions and points given and allowed and fumbles and so on. For defense yardage is a bad indicator of rank for instance. You can build a nice looking house of cards on yards allowed; if you play from ahead you are likely to give up more air yards than rushing. The farther ahead, the more air yards. For one instance. So what it it telling you? Not that you have a bad pass d all the time.
  9. I wanted the Browns rookie LB this year, Carson Schwesinger
  10. Ehhhh Idk about that..... If our d core is healthy these guys wont face these kinds of crazy chances also keep in mind when the are all healthy they haven't all played together much to develope chemistry and experience in rods system. People always want to blame goaltending but our scoring has dried up completely in the playoffs and we've lost many games we onlu allowed 2 goals or less with a goalie on the ice. Overcoming this adversity and scoring far more consistently both off the rush and designed plays so far this year has me hopeful. Also keep in mind its very possible that we will be the most experienced team in the eastern playoffs our classic kryptonite teams of NYR, TBL and FLORIDA are struggling none are currently in playoff position
  11. I mean the fact that guys like Blake and FUS and Nystrom ect are actually AHL guys speaks to the drafting and talent acquisition.... people may not have loved it at the time but keeping a full pipeline of talent to be a yearly contender was the right move.... now if we could just get a blue chip right d and g we would be set. Hey we beat the bruins exercised that demon. Side note with Florida's injurys and TB and NY getting old both currently look like bubble teams at best. And its very possible they wont make the playoffs
  12. We're honestly good enough at WR to not risk bringing in someone like this. Plus if he didn't like the QB situation in SF, woo boy.
  13. The problem with all those scenarios is typically that you don't find out the player is a problem child until too late. The team trading him to you has zero reason to be honest about that. Even his teammates are likely to be fairly tight lipped unless it is off the record or it has now become widely known how bad the player's attitude/issues are. Think about Brown specifically. He wasn't widely/publicly known as a nutbag until late in his career, although ample evidence existed prior to that point. It makes sense. Like a teammate or not, it's not wise to be out there blabbering about locker room issues in front of the public. Not a way to endear yourself to current or future teammates.
  14. I don’t remember what I said this year. I had us winning 6 last year. I was optimistic a little. I probably said 6 or 7. Wasn’t feeling optimistic so much this year.
  15. I mean if you look at Bryce’s stats before last week, he was ranked damn near the bottom of the league in every category so you can’t fault people for thinking anything positive is bogus. I’ve heard several analyst say they don’t know how to rank the panthers because we are a confusing team. One week we look like complete dog poo the next we win 30-0. Sure we beat a horrible jets team, but what was it, 13-6 or something like that? Beat the pack, but how good are they? They lost to us and the Browns and tied with Dallas, are they frauds? Would we have beat the bills with Bryce, I doubt it. Barely beat a 3-5 falcons team in OT and those seem to be Bryce’s best games. To me, the jury is still out and I’m optimistic, we beat SF and Bryce plays will il start to really believe.
  16. Oh yes I remember this now, in 2015 Seahawks fans were all going on and on about their DVOA dominating ours before our playoff matchup. In that case it didn’t work out in their favor. Do you know how accurate these are through the years?
  17. I honestly don't know what to think about potentially targeting him in the offseason. On one hand, if he's the Aiyuk of pre-injury and leaves the diva attitude in SF, then I'd be all for bringing him in and trading XL for whatever we can get. A WR room of T-Mac, Aiyuk, Coker, Horn Jr has some seriously high potential. But on the other hand, something hasn't smelled right about Aiyuk since his holdout last year began, and now things just seem even crazier of course. Have a feeling this could very well be an Antonio Brown situation, where old teammates of him said they could see it coming, as soon as he got his first big extension, he became a problem off the field. I think in the end, he'll garner offers that are high enough that I'm good just not even trying to go after him, but if teams are scared off and he has to sign a cheap prove it deal, I wouldn't hate the team exploring it.
  18. I’d also love to see a matte silver version of our standard helmets. Sorta like the matte metallic purple the Vikings have.
  19. Wouldn't be surprising to see an injury settlement worked out. Starting to think the chances of Brooks every meaningfully contributing in the NFL is slim to none. Whatever decision we make on Chuba and/or Rico, honestly Jonathan Brooks shouldn't even factor into those conversations.
  20. I'm in the same boat. I don't think it looks terrible, but the regular logo looks better.
  21. I just don't understand why they insist on doing the all blue version of the Panther logo on the black helmets instead of a blue/white logo. It looks and pops SO much better.
  22. CMC was a very logical(and correct) decision. We obviously squandered the exceptional return we gathered from that trade but that's just Tepper Panthers. As far as "proven" players.....well Brooks hasn't proven anything. So he definitely wouldn't fit into the "letting proven players leave" argument.
  23. I mean if you read the ESPN article on the situation, it said he was earning praise at training camp this year but at the same time he somehow violated the terms of the April 1st guaranteed money that got picked up. It doesn't disclose what those terms were. Until we know that, it's probably not going to be very clear what the situation is. It doesn't sound like there is any specific strife at the moment but that he just isn't ready to play yet. Now, if you want to start some conspiracy theory on that.....perhaps they would rather not risk him being injured BECAUSE they want to move on from him in a trade. I guess we will see the resolution of that during the season. If I were them, now that a big chunk of that guaranteed money is voided, I would let him hit the field. Hopefully he shows out and you can get a higher return on the trade. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47053369/san-francisco-49ers-voided-guaranteed-money-brandon-aiyuk-deal-2026
