let's see what the annual Blueprint epi shows behind the scenes It also could be more maturity in the HC role going into year three (has it been two years with Dan/Dave already?)

Is the fact that our boys didn't take crap and fought right back at the cheap shots Ottawa did. Svech beating the poo outta that Ottawa bum, walker destroying the other Ottawa bum after the bush league uppercut. I know we got penalties for both, but that tells me our guys actually are sticking up for each other (unlike past years). I feel like this is the most toughness I have seen from our players in a playoff series in a very long time. Hopefully Boom isn't out too long

Seeing mixed reviews of draft grades. PFF (and others) are saying A+. Sports Illustrated says C+ I'm leaning towards the more positive side

Round 7: The Carolina Panthers select LB Jackson Kuwatch (Miami of Ohio)
strato replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
What else are you gonna do with a 7th besides gamble it on a long shot? They are just about all long shots that late. But getting a solid ST guy that can be LB depth, I would consider that a win. Odds are that even if he somehow gets to be a starter he won’t be a long term starter. They’ll upgrade. He could eat off of being a ST/depth guy for a while though. -
Round 5: The Carolina Panthers select S Zakee Wheatley (Penn State)

No before that. The international player they discussed that it seems like we brought in from what they were saying. Sounded like Mozz. I assume its this guy but Kaye insisted on using a nickname most people would not know. https://www.panthers.com/team/players-roster/mapalo-mwansa/ -
Round 5: The Carolina Panthers select C Sam Hecht (Kansas State)

Only real concern I have is weight/strength related. He seems a little light and the guys across from him are huge and strong. Hoping that him being in between Hunt and Lewis will help him out. -
That's it. How do you feel about this draft class.

Dude, you're probably not going to find many big boards with Hill over Lee. Lee was correct pick based upon value alone. -

From memory, the S from SC that was still on the board. Forget his name. Pretty sure that’s what you are asking about. He said he didn’t want to speak on him because he didn’t scout him. Sidestepped. -
Ok, well better than nothing. Looks a bit awkward but willing to do the job so either he'll just be special teams for a few years or they can actually coach him up. I generally don't really like when we draft project players early but 7th round sure. I guess they're betting Devin Lloyd will buy them some time before they take a big swing at the position in the next draft or two.

I like it overall. I don't value NT's much and really wanted Anthony Hill Jr in the 2nd. They hit on almost all of the positions of need imo DL, OT, C, S, etc. But overall I think Dan cooked.... B+ -

Great draft Wondering who they will let go cause well cap space is under 2 million Free agency was fantastic too -
Very true. It looks good on paper for now. None of the picks look like panic picks, unlike Fitterer. I'm happy we finally drafted a center. We've been playing guys off injury or out of position for nearly a decade. Biggest hope is now that Canales won't be calling plays, we can end up getting something out of XL inside the hashes where he has room to run and stop trying to use him on the boundary where he sucks.

7th round. Trade chart value near the bottom. Afterthought. He has good size and excellent speed and is a willing special teamer. Position group he joins has probably the lowest floor of all our groups. He has a great chance to make team. If he does, he’ll have eyes on him for ILB snaps. -
i would have loved for them to have gotten a qb especially with lsu qb lasting till the 7th but seems they are happy to let young drive the ship into the iceberg

Canales seems different this year in the press conferences and interviews I can’t quite put my finger on it he doesn’t seem so ‘Sammy sunshine’ as he has in the past ..almost a tad detached maybe he was just deferring to Dan as the draft is Dan’s show

Brockermeyer to the Falcons feels wrong. -
This is true. And instead of getting too focused on that. Sometimes you’re better off just drafting the best players. Instead of forcing a position. We took the best guys available and bet on that players were dropping that also filled positions of need. Guys like Hecht, Wheatley, Brazzell were guys who could’ve gone higher, but fell for whatever reason and also filled needs by not getting too desperate

Why would you be concerned that he would be so impressive that another team wants to sign him to their active roster but we wouldn't when we haave a need there. After lasting until round 7. -

Stoked about Aaron Hall. He was an ass-kicker at Duke. -
Gracias, amigo! So elated that he's now a Panther. I'm guessing his 40-time dropped him and the overall PSU program this past year didn't help boost his stock at all. Guys like Wheatley, DDS and Allar all fell. I'm confident he's a perfect compliment to Moehrig and love having a true center fielder here now. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually takes Scott's snaps by the end of the year.
