Legette still focusing on drops per David Newton

I think basically anyone, huddle included, would have Jeanty OROY. He looks elite from preseason w2 -

Oddly enough if you follow fantasy, non panthers people are expecting a lot. I’ve seen him as high as WR9 in fantasy rankings. -

Great to hear this. Certain huddle experts told me body catching is fine, glad the coaches and XL are working on it. Hope this dude absolutely balls this year -

Starts with the QB. Bryce has no energy or charisma. Despite what you hear publicly, Im skeptical this team is 100% behind him. This house of cards will collapse fast if he reverts to where he was pre-benching last season. I sincerely hope Im wrong though. He seems like a good dude otherwise. -

I’m sorry but banking on “developing” TMac, XL, and Coker is some wishful thinking. Just look at the history of this franchise. JT Sanders is a fun athlete, but he’s kind of just a chubby Legette right now. Bouncing AT for these guys THIS season is putting the cart before the horse at minimum -
Nope. He has completely washed that out for me over the last couple of seasons. We have not built a defense, he hasn't seemed to have developed any of the talent we've drafted or lured here. Our defense plays with lackluster effort many times and I've noticed that since Shaq was gone (after he was injured and all) that players were often out of place. Shaq appeared to be coaching on the field at times. Honestly, I want to see us transition back to the 4-3. We've never successfully transitioned to the 3-4 and we've been trying hard to do it since Tepper took the reins.

I think we tend to overvalue our players. Last year folks were clamoring for a first for (WR/headcase/locker room cancer, I forget his name) that was traded for a pick swap and yielded less in value than Mingo. I believe he is a deep depth piece at Cleveland now. -

I just don't think fans are being realistic with all these trade scenarios. We have perhaps 7-8 players on the entire roster anyone would trade for more than a 6th/conditional 6th rounder. Not everyone in the NFL is going to hand out Mingo type deals. And of the minimal amount of players we are talking, almost all of them are far bigger negative impacts to our roster or cap than they would net results in return. -

The Panthers would have to be doing it to make space in the depth chart more than the return coming back. - Today

I don't think people realize that he does not have much value to almost any other team that would consider trading for him. -

I don't necessarily disagree on the reps but technically the most important overall evaluation aid he is performing relates to Young. In the case that TMac flounders, XL doesn't develop and Coker turns out to be ceiling limited, he did have very good chemistry with Bryce. Now, I am obviously describing worst case scenario but AT does have a role at the moment for that reason alone. If he declines and someone else on the roster bumps him down, by all means, put him on the bench. So, outside of a "mentor" and "Bryce Young safety blanket" role, I completely agree we should have not resigned him. But that decision was also made in a world minus two of the WR's we drafted. -

I recall several times where he would get TAGGED. He had numerous welcome to the NFL moments. factor? Certainly plausible. -

Only expect 4 ilb to make the team. 6 OLB/edge. Probably only carry 3 te's. They probably carry an extra body on the dline and oline as well. Looks good though. -

It's pretty much impossible for me to imagine Bryce as a big getting in your face guy or being a rah rah cheerleader type. That's just not who he is and I don't really care. Just play well. Everything else will take care of itself if he just plays well. -

He's on the last year of the deal and it would be prorated based on when he's traded during the season. It's not far fetched IMO. A trade around the deadline would put the other team on the hook for about 50% of the cash due. Now what is far fetched is getting more than say a 5th round pick for that. -
That’s concerning the worst thing you can do is think about it that’s how you get the yips
-
oh, as far the why? Because now isn't then. They had ZERO interest in AT being part of there plan going forward so they let him walkaway. Adding AT now is just about being a one season rental. They have space this year. Vikings won 14 games last year. They are team that expects to win. They are now limping into this season at the WR spot. One starter is suspended. Jettas looking hampered coming in. Could make sense for their 2025. Moving him actually could help both teams with their 2025 goals and he is irrelevant to both after this year. Vikings get a body. We get to put our young bodies in the spot AT hogs up.

Absolutely. -
I mean, BY has an entire collegiate career and 2 NFL seasons showing what he is on the field and sidelines. I mean, Cam was the same dude at Auburn he was in the pros. Bryce Young is the dude we saw at Bama for the most part (and that's when things were flying high for him).
-
well, my thoughts on AT remain the same. He is occupies too much oxygen. Too many reps that will serve us no real purpose as he is gone after this year. We need to be developing Tmac, XL, Coker, Saunders, etc. So, letting AT go is more about developing the young guys. Also clearing a spot for another young guy to be added. They never should of pulled him back from retirement w/ a thank you paycheck IMO to begin with. The cons of AT outweight the pros for me. I want to develop our young guys.

I honestly dont get the hype about horn jr -
I mean, you aren't getting much for an old WR who likely is done in the NFL after the next 17 are over. but, for those not wanting to lose a Jimmy Horn type due to the bodies in front of him....it would get him a spot. I mean, the O should be running through Tmac, XL, Coker, Sanders. AT IMO stunts development as he occupies often ideal spots for youngsters to get the ball working the area of the field he does

With very little insght or analysis these would be the areas I would target. Obviously you look everywhere and I am not guaranteeing or wanting these guys cut immediately but this is a problem area IMO. ILB: Krys Barnes, Jon Rattigen, Claudin Cherelus S: Nick Scott CB: Shemar Bartholomew
