Simmons is a bum, can't set the edge in the run game and can't cover. He's an athlete, but it doesn't translate.

Love Moose, but looking back at his career he broke 1000 receiving yards 3/14 times including one insane year in 2004 where he had 16 TDs. Those other 11 years were decent, but the fact he is one of our top WRs in franchise history shows how we really struggle at drafting/developing them.

Renfrow is dealing with injury issues, coming back from a devastating issue with his health, and directly caused an interception in the preseason. This affinity for certain players and dislike for others is what fandom is about, but you all definitely ride harder for some than others. Also, cut out the XL stray bullets. The kid was a rookie and didn't have problems with drops in college. Devante Adams had the same issues as a rookie and became dynamic. Give it a rest!

Or for the same reasons can release him while working on Thielen trade. Im not predicting that but its plausible

XL has the highest ceiling of any receiver we have. He damn well better be part of the game plan.

So, based off the official depth chart, there are a few things I dont like on defense. Bobby Brown III as the backup, with Robinson starting over him, and our smallest DL starting at NT. I dont like that neither of our 2nd rounder OLBs are starting, so I am hoping for heavy rotation there. Also, David Moore is our punt returner, WTF? Also, our primary backup RB as the KR when we have other capable players like Horn Jr and Trevor? I did after getting tired of his incredibly bad Bryce takes. Don't know how it got cut back on. He's the huddle version of a flat earther.

For a long term fit, totally. But we can find better than the current backups on the team off the waiver wire.

I don't see how. I have consistently favored young players. So I have zero issues w/ the rookies. Moore nor Renfrow fall into that camp. The convo is only about Moore. Not the young guys making it over him. I have disagreed w/ the Panthers decision makers very often this time of year for several years. The Panthers decision makers do not have a great track record vs those criticisms.

That's going to have to wait until the next draft unfortunately.

Linebackers please

I usually don’t dog on a position group too hard…. but our LB group is probably ranked #96 if you combine every NFL LB room aggregated for the past 3 seasons. Trevin has a monster opportunity but we 1 million percent need to find some NFL level talent at ILB

I mean, this is always the case with the QB position. But I agree with LinvilleGorge; we need to know one way or the other. No in between bullshit. Franchise QB or bust.

Renfrow has said the Panthers are the only team he'd play for so this cut could just be an fancy way to get an extra roster spot. They can sign him back at any time whenever the first injury hits the team. It's also very possible they want to go young or that it was a special teams thing. I'm a big Renfrow fan and wish him continued good health. Would love to bring him back as a coach if his playing days are really over.

He looked decent filling in during that Kansas City game. Regardless WRs this deep on the roster are special teams players primarily.

Just sink or swim. Don't be middling. Give us the answer one way or the other, don't leave it in gray area.
