  1. Past hour
  2. DK trade looks better now for Pit in that they weren't re-signing pickens this offseason and now getting a third back soften the trading a second for DK. However DK's deal is still an albatross (so glad we didn't do that) Dallas is the one that makes no sense to me. Last year they should have gone all in, they didn't and now are basically dipping their toes in without fully committing. I'd be furious if I was a cowboys fan with how they've run the team the last two offseasons
  3. Heard the Steelers fans celebrating, "Now the other team won't be able to guess run/pass based on Pickens' body posture."
  4. Makes me wonder if her expertise in human trafficking is what landed her a position wi-... you know what, I'll be good.
  5. oh Idc what the players wear, wear whatever is best for them but fans jerseys 100% can be made more durably than they are
  6. Mike Wallace, Martavis Bryant, Chase Claypool, Plaxico Burress. Headcase WRs are what the Steelers do.
  7. Why am I not surprised to see him supporting a company currently being sued for sex trafficking and covering up a child molestation ring?
  8. Although we dont have as much "firepower" as year past this Canes team has somthing we didn't have in years past which is size in the lower 6 that gives us two legit checking lines.... In years past we only had the Staal line and on the road we would hemorrhage chances because we couldn't match them up like at home.. I firmly believe our poor regular season road woes were due to who we had in goal... 19 road losses with a combination of Kochetkov,Tokarski and Martin in net.. 3 with Anderson (all coming at the end of the year when let's be honest we weren't trying to win)
  9. To the original post, I'd feel pretty good if he did that. I'd want him to start again the following year, and I'd pick up his 5th year option. I would probably not feel like it's time to give him the bag yet though. I say probably because those stats don't have context. If he led 7 game winning drives for example, maybe it's time to pay him.
  10. And he does it. He doesn't put it on a rope like Allen. He throws with anticipation and timing. Now, if he tried to throw that deep out late like Cam used to, he's probably looking at a pick 6.
  11. He definitely doesn't have elite arm strength. But he doesn't have the weak arm guys keep saying he has. Remember, he was overthrowing guys deep before. Now, he's put a little more air under his throws and he's completing them. Probably more of an adjustment to speed. He was used to having burners out wide. Not big body receivers.
  12. His nickname made it to his pro football reference page lol
  13. I'm fluent in sarcasm, your post didn't read that way in the slightest. We can move on now.
  14. I think you need a big arm to make certain throws to the perimeter. Deep is DNA, timing and placement.
  15. What Bryce lacks in elite arm strength he makes up with being able to throw from multiple angles and off platform throws. Sometimes people don’t realize that’s just as important. But there is nothing about his arm strength that gives me pause he cleared that up last year
  16. Fair enough I don’t know that I would be disappointed necessarily it all depends on the overall status of the team, defense, etc. I would be disappointed with anything less than 20-25 TDs and 3.500 yards in 17 games
  17. I just don’t think you need a “big arm” to throw deep passes. It’s very much a WR/timing stat IMO. I think there is this belief that some of these QBs are constantly throwing bombs and completing them regularly. You just need to have that capacity in your game to keep the defense honest and offense open. I think Bryce showed he can do that at the end of the year where others (including myself) doubted he could after the first couple this season. If he can keep doing that the DC/Bryce pairing could work. If not then DC finds someone who can. I honestly don’t think we are that far off in our opinions about this. You are just a lot more skeptical in him fully succeeding in DC’s traditional offense.
  18. It's from both sides. Some apparently can't even entertain a hypothetical where Bryce blows up and has amazing numbers. People are just dug into their opinion about him and waiting to be proven right.
  19. Today
  20. The entertainment of disagreeing over nonsense we barely know about has been basically the only perk of being a Panthers fan the last decade
  21. My prediction is at some point this season the masses go from calling me a BY hater to a BY defender…..when the over the top crowd swings to hard the other way when he isn’t what they are selling. I think expecting top 10 numbers from Bryce in what is really a sophomore season in my eyes….is setting up for disappointment.
  22. Taking game 2 will be a challenge, you know Caps will bring thir best. Canes hit the iron 5 times in game 1 yet won, if they bring the same mojo for game 2 pucks will go in for a Canes win.
  23. It’s a fan message board. Fans are going to debate players. Especially the QB. I hope no one is genuinely upset about any of the dialogue on here.
  24. Teddy Bridgewater was a check down QB….saying that doesn’t mean that he literally can’t and won’t throw downfield in a season. Bryce Young was never drafted to be big armed downfield passer. I don’t get those out defending him when it’s pointed out that he just isn’t that. And finding a game or two where he goes downfield doesn’t change much. Because all QBs eventually go downfield. Just like a Delhomme or Favre will play it safe in some random games. Doesn’t mean they aren’t gunslingers that got gambling in their DNA.
  25. Yeah, Fitzgerald was smart to sign with the panthers--not sure how many NFL teams were in the Market....I was surprised to see Morgan re-sign Tuttle and Ray--even if Ray's contract is completely unguaranteed--but with Brown, Wharton, Brown III, Robinson, Cam Jackson--maybe Crumedy--Tuttle could be excellent depth--but at DE, not DT, imo. Once again, it appears that Morgan may have found UDFAs who have a shot making the team--last year, there were 2 who contributed in a meaningful way. This year, I see CBs Thornton and Reid with a legitimate shot to make the roster. I also think LB Nomura has a legit shot (Morgan has to love this guy) as well as LB Bam Martin Smith from USC. Finally, I think one of the safeties will stick. In all, I expect 1-2 CBs, 1 LB, 1 S, 1 OL, 1 K to make this team. Predictions: CBs Thornton and Reid make the 53-man roster. LB Tuasivi Nomura makes the 53-man roster as a ST ace and ILB depth OL Michael Tarquin may make the roster to groom as a potential RT replacement for Moton. Moton, BC, and Nijman are on expiring contracts. While I like what I am hearing about Kandra, the OG room is very crowded. Lewis, Hunt, Zavala, Kingston--but he could compete for the 4th G job. S: Trevian Thomas, Isaac Gifford are probably the front runners, but Jack Henderson from Minnesota might be able to win a S spot as well. I expect all three will not make the 53, but the darkhorse name to watch is Henderson. Henderson's Pro day: Minnesota DB Jack Henderson had arguably the BEST overall workout of any Safety in this entire draft: 40yd. 4.47 vertical. 40” Broad. 10’8” Shuttle. 4.15 3cone. 6.70 Bench. 12
  26. I’ve said this before, in retrospect I consider 2024 his true rookie year. When I judge it from that standpoint there’s a lot to be encouraged and excited about. He wasn’t a top 10 QB in that timeframe but he definitely looked like a legitimate starting QB with upside potential. I do expect top 10 numbers this year.
