Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)
KillaCamNewton replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce played a great game last night the problem was that was an A game from him and a C game from Stafford and Stafford was still the better QB. Thats why the Rams are a favorite to win the whole thing and our season is over -

We played a lot of really good teams this year -
Would love to have Doubs, but I'm afraid that our receiving corps wouldn't be versatile enough. It would be interesting to see how the opposition would handle three pretty good route runners with good size and hands. That would be a dream. I would expect Doubs to be in the slot, but we could actually mix and match.

Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)

Unfortunately, as far as Bryce is concerned this year was my worst nightmare. Alll I wanted put if him this year was a definitive answer. Just completely suck or blossom and bloom, don't leave us stuck in this gray area. Now, IMO we got the definitive answer. There's just way too much subpar play. But fir an organization stil desperately trying to cling to him he showed them enough that they're gonna keep clinging and the end result is likely staying stuck in QB purgatory. -

The only problem now is that next year...going to be VERY hard to make the playoffs again. We play a lot of really good teams -

One thing the Panthers proved this year in 2 games: The Rams are a very potent offense with a mediocre defense that leaves them vulnerable. They are NOT the best team in the NFL. Matt Stafford is amazing, but not untouchable. I would not take the Rams to make it to the Super Bowl. Seattle is the best team in the NFC by a mile. Proud of our boys! Good showing except for the prevent shell on that last LA drive. -

Actually, that depth on the line... I was impressed how they showed up after Icky went down AND Hunt had to come out of the game for a while. We may have a pretty decent line for next season, whether Moton decides to play another year or not. Cade Mays at Center helps a lot. -

The huge difference is that Darnold had all the physical characteristics of an elite QB, had limited experience in college and needed time to learn the game and some good coaching. -

For a Panthers team to not completely poo the bed in a big nationally televised playoff game feels unnatural. For them to turn it around when everything was going wrong against the Rams in a nationally televised playoff game… that’s sorcery. -

If we had gotten Bryce as a flyer in the mid rounds or something i wouldn't be mad at it at all. But trading that amount of capital for a historically tiny QB is nuts. When you make risky moves like that why in God's green earth would you bet in the outlier? Wouldn't Stroud have been the safe bet? What about Bryce made him stick out to the staff so much more than Stroud?? Something tells me those pre draft discussions with Fitterer, Morgan, and Reich were not as harmonious as they said they were. There had to have been SOMEONE in that room with strong conter arguments to drafting Bryce. It just defies conventional logic for any other team. Even Kyler at his height could be somewhat justified because that little mother fuger is yoked out and can run like a fast RB and has ridiculous arm strength. Bryce had none of those so the Panthers just liked his creative scramble drill throws at Alabama ? Like wtf?? -
It’s just me but the term pass catching tight end irritates me. If you’re a tight end you’re supposed to know how to catch the ball

I’d prefer us to sign a FA pass rusher instead of drafting one. We made that investment last year. We need a guy who can come in right away. We lack a lot of depth and athleticism at LB. We need a new leader in the middle. -
Dave doesn’t sound too thrilled with the prevent
CRA replied to TylerDurden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Every passive and whack play call goes through Dave’s ear. I got little time for a HC that acts helpless to what went on with his team. -
I mean, I'm proud of the team and how it seemingly overachieved this season, but where do we go from here? We have several holes and positions that need upgrading (including QB), and we have a tough schedule to boot come next season. We've made a stride here or there, but in some ways we are in the exact same place this year as the last.

dont know what to think of Pitts. All the talent in the world, but it comes in flashes and spurts. I could be wrong, but he comes across as a guy who doesnt really love the game, he uses it, so he shows up when its time to get paid but fades back to mediocrity when hes fat and happy.

Kind of feel like Coker was being eased into more snaps throughout the year bc of his injury. I think a big part of why DC sounded so mad at Coker’s conditioning in preseason was bc they had a big role carved out for him -

If Hunter Renfrow was 6’2….he likely could have stayed on the active roster and made some plays. But he was a tiny guy operating on the opposite side of a massive line with another tiny guy trying to over it and him. Renfrow has most of what a coach loves but he requires a perfect situation for him being so unique to really fit. Bryce would be a great #2. Which is why it’s going to take a change of location in the end. Because he won’t be able to transition here to where he belongs -

Reading stuff like that makes me upset man, not because you are wrong. I just wonder why the Panthers decided it was a good idea to trade up for a QB who is that physically limited. It's almost nonsensical. If casual fans can see this, why do NFL GMs and scouts who get paid big bucks overlook this poo and draft him anyways?????? Sometimes I wonder how different the team would look if we had gotten Stroud instead or waited 1 more season to trade up for Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake May etc. We were literally one year off from basically being in a perfect draft to trade up high for a QB lol. -

I have noticed a lot of mock drafts have quite a few WRs going top 15 but in my opinion it’s going to be mostly Edge and DL top heavy draft. We might be lucky if a decent one falls to #19. As always it’s best to see who falls and go BPA. -

We need to bring in a vet to compete for the starting position. I would draft a late round guy too. I want Morgan to try and make our QB room better.
