I agree with everything you said, but wanted to highlight this because Renfrow seems, so far, to have remained relevant. I had no idea what he would look like after his year away, but this is a huge bonus for $1.2M. I am so excited for preseason! Also, I think XL gets better simply by not being our primary WR. Getting that pressure off may help "cure" his dropsies. Not to mention a second year in a NFL system should be good for him and everyone else. -
Let’s be real, there’s no way the Bengals can trade him for less than first round value from an optics stand point.

The Franchise guy Panthers 2025 deep dive overview

Disclaimer: In June, I am usually optimistic. In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop. Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough. So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense? If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8. Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5. If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points. This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better). Bryce is confident and now a leader. The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid. We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety. Derrick Brown returns. While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better. So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more. -

The few 2026 mock drafts that i have seen have us picking sixth. -
JJJ has been with the team so long he gives 0 fugs! Hell, Rhule DRAFTED his replacement and JJJ sent him packing.
-
It’s just a new campaign to give this core a marketing identity and less of a new slogan to replace Keep Pounding. The Cam/Luke era was “One Carolina”
-
It would have to be a super diminished value trade. Like a 6th that could turn into a 5th maybe 4th (conditional) or something like that. It's not happening regardless.

Keep Pounding drum is being replaced w/ a Sir Purr act

BREAKING: Panthers interested in Justin Simmons

Why didn’t we just keep woods another year? -
He was drafted #17 overall.
-
THAT'S the trade! DJ for Shemar even-steven. I'll guarantee his full rookie contract, then let him vie for a backup role. He can only poison the locker room so much from the bench. If he becomes a beast...we win big. Not that they would agree to this, but it's about what I'm willing to give up for a cancerous turd.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't want to go into the season with 3 rookies and Jones, who hasn't ever been a "starter" before. Getting rid of DJ is deal breaker for me.

Wild Idea.. Trade for Shemar Stewart
rebelrouser replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
They sort of drafted him in case they couldn't reach a deal with Trey Hendrickson. Maybe they are close with Hendrickson. I think the A&M defensive scheme may have hurt Scourton and Stewart's sack numbers but at least Nic had four; Stewart had 1.5. If we hadn't drafted two edge rushers, i would be in favor of exploring a trade for the guy. -
I wish him a great comeback. Knee injuries are tough on big guys, but he's young, motivated and has been getting the best medical attention that money can buy. If we get him back, that defense jumps six or seven spots in the rankings alone, if not more.

BREAKING: Panthers interested in Justin Simmons

Simmons is the S I've been hoping we'd go after, I'm happy to hear we may have interest at least -
My brothers in Christ, this fortells the coming of the four horsemen of the Teppocalypse. It's: Meddling Arrogance Incompetence Denial
-
In the video, you can hear the Keep Pounding chant If they were trying to replace, they wouldn't have included that audio at all
-
JJJ always ends his Cart Talks with "Keep Pounding". He must've not got the memo.
-
The way the team and local media are sounding it sure seems that way. it won’t matter though. It will never stick with fans and will end up just another waste of money.
-
I dont think they're replacing Keep Pounding. They already know the backlash they got last time they tried
-
what does it mean?
