  1. Past hour
  2. I mean, I think Legette is probably a bust also, and that's after trying to defend and rationalize about him, but I'm not gonna use that play. He did stock his hand out there, but the ball was just too off target. That being said, I've never seen a guy who is supposed to have the potential of a star just disappear in games like he has. There are UDFAs that do more than he has with the number of snaps he's gotten. His only saving grace is that he plays in a largely inept passing offense, so there still may be a sliver of hope that the offense is so disjointed that maybe it's to difficult for him too succeed. That's probably wishful thinking though. We need a higher pick at receiver for the third draft in a row. Honestly, with needing a QB, a WR, a defensive back or two, a linebacker, and whatever else, who knows when we'll actually be viably competitive. And to think, people were trying to get after me a few weeks ago when I basically said that we drafted the wrong guy(s). Hopefully Dan has learned some huge lessons about drafting the past couple of years. As the merry-go-round spins...
  3. I don't really buy the whole distraction/we overlooked them, any of that crap. We finally just faced a team that came into the game hellbent on forcing Bryce to beat us. We're gonna stack the box like cordwood no matter what. We're gonna take away the run and we know that might open up opportunities in the passing game but we're just gonna play tight, physical coverage and rely on them not being able to connect on deep passes. I'm just shocked it took until game nine for somebody to do it.
  4. can't remember which poster said it, "don't trade a midget for anther midget"
  5. To be fair, Murray is much more mentally limited than physically. His height stinks but he is gifted physically outside of that. His problems are between the ears. His only positive assets are his physical gifts or he would be a dumber Bryce.
  6. He should be benched but with Atlanta this week he will have his yearly good Atlanta game and then his supporters will be back talking about how good he is still. Meanwhile, LA and SF lurk nearby and he will get a rude awakening (again)
  7. I'm going out on a limb here and say never on realization...
  8. They should trade him regardless in the offseason. Go get a vet body and just move on. Try and draft a QB but don't force it, they are already in QB purgatory so play the long game. If he isn't worth his 5th year option than he shouldn't be around anymore. Im not sure he will make some teams final roster, just depends where he lands. If there is heavy competition I wouldn't bet on Bryce. It's going to be interesting once he isn't treated like he is now.
  9. I think at times Canales catches undo flack when he has called a pretty good game and it’s clear Bryce can’t execute the offense. And other times he fails to properly scheme for the opponent, and sometimes it’s a combination of the two. The game against the Saints was the combo of the two things to the most extreme degree. Now I’m wondering how much of a distraction the Rico Dowdle / Keegan Michael Key stuff was this week.
  10. I don’t think I’d want him if he were cheap but with that contract? Hell no.
  11. no GM or NFL head coach really wants anything to do with Bryce Young these people have a job that is pretty much solely based off of performance & no one in their right mind is interested in taking that type of risk when there are many more logical & smarter options than having Bryce Young as a Qb
  12. I say no haha. What a train wreck that would be. I’d rather them go sign Will Levis or something than bring in Murray who is another physically limited QB. At least one of the 1st round “busts” from the last few years is going to end up having a decent career. Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, who knows. The guys are out there.
  13. Sounds entertaining. That beats watching lil Brycey poo.
  14. I've been a big supporter of Young but after yesterday I have to face the reality that many of you were right. We're never getting past mediocrity until we get a QB that can use the entire field. We're too easy to defend.
  15. That was the answer in 2020, the same as re-signing Darnold for one more year was the answer in 2023.
  16. I am all in on giving Hooker a look. We aren't a playoff team and we need to start looking elsewhere for a QB. I've been probably one of the most patient fans when it came to Bryce Young but after yesterday it is very clear he can't carry a team. Hooker showed he could carry a team with Tennessee. While it was college he had that ability. We need to give him a look.
  17. Good work TN05! You put way more work into this post than I did when I started the thread Didn't Tepper say he wanted to use more analytics to make decisions for the Panthers? He needs to see this. I wonder if after a careful analysis he'd be able to interpret all of the data from this thread and come to the conclusion that he needs to allow Dan and Dave to move on from Bryce...or at least bring in a player in the off-season to have a legitimate competition for the starting job.
  18. Treymayne to me is another great find. IMO he just needs more REPS. XL just seems so invisible on the field and I totally agree we can't have a raw WR on the field. We need excellent route runners and ballers. XL isn't a baller IMO.
  19. I've tapped out too. Can't take the sorry excuse for a QB and the head coach.
  20. Who cares what happens to this clown, he can take his millions, just get the fug out of Charlotte.
  21. I have already said I am out on Bryce so let’s not even bring him up here. I think XL sucks even if he were to have Mahomes throwing to him. This rep alone is enough to see he doesn’t have what it takes to be a regular starter in the NFL. At least try to make the catch you idiot
  22. Way back in my younger days as a reporter, I had to go and cover a D.A.R.E. graduation event at a local school. They had two NASCAR racing teams there for the kids to meet. Teams sponsored by two different beer companies, one of which had just won the Winston Cup (wow, really back in the day, and a cigarette brand if you didn't know). The kids were having a ball and were in awe of the drivers and crew members, they loved seeing the cars. I leaned over to the DARE officer from the Sheriff's Department and said, "You do realize that you told these kids to swear they'd never drink or smoke or use drugs and look who sponsors all this." The look of realization just washed across his face and he glanced side-eyed back at me and said, "Well, poo." Advertising and marketing are so fuging pervasive in everything we do that the public really doesn't stand a chance anymore. And gambling is doing a full on press for this generation and the next. Sports gambling has always existed and always will, but this industrialized one is more than parasitic, it's viral. I'm not sure if the patient will survive it, but if it does, there will be a mighty shock to the system before it lets go.
