  1. Past hour
  2. deep diving into the fact YAC is non-existent in this offense is just mind-blowing. They got to solve that if they hope to get this pass game out of the NFL gutter. and, I think that largely falls on Canales.
  3. Yes and no. Actually last years training camp there were a lot of questions about a lack of deep passes and Bryce Young had a number of miscues that led to us incorrectly assuming our defense was actually decent. At one point Shy Tuttle had a turnover returned for a touchdown. Need I say more? I do agree joint practices will be the most telling though.
  4. My understanding is that Canales was asked about Tommy Tremble. Canales stated he had had back surgery, it was successful, and that they expected Tremble back for Training Camp. The Panthers PR person later clarified that Tremble will start TC on the PUP list. However, PUP during preseason isn't like PUP during the regular season where you definitely will miss time. Tremble can come off the PUP at any point, and to me Canales' statement made it seem like they were expecting him fully back near the start of TC. So, reading the team leaves, it seems like Tremble will be at TC but not practicing at least initially. Canales seemed to indicate he expected Tremble to be a part of TC, so that would indicate they anticipate him being activated around the start of TC. In terms of concern, who can honestly say? Its certainly not ideal that the surgery took place now. However, it does seems like this is an issue the team was fully aware of, and the plan was to rehab without surgery. The concern is obviously Tremble wasn't fully recovering without surgery, now the surgery will at least impact TC, and surgeries are never guaranteed. And back injuries can linger and rarely completely resolve. Still, there are a whole gamut of procedures that constitute back surgery, and while surgery is only "minor" when it's not your own, this doesn't seem to be a major procedure. Tremble is in the building this week, so it's obvious hes not incapacitated or anything. Will just have to wait and monitor. Im excited to see how JT Sanders and Mitchell Evans look in 2 TE sets since they fit more differentiated roles (Sanders is primarily a receiving threat, and Mitchell is more of a traditional TE). I hope Tremble is fully healthy for Week 1. This isn't the flashiest TE group in the league, but I think given the emergence of Sanders, as long as Tremble and Evans can be good role players we should be fine.
  5. Meh camp is where Bryce looks the best. The answers will start to trickle in during the joint practices and that game but game 1 has been the real starting line for the reality of the season the last 2 years.
  6. Yeah, it is. I don't know where the Reddit guy got his information, I was just relaying it to try to help with the confusion. Here is what AI had to say on the subject. "The Carolina Panthers' tight end Tommy Tremble will begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list after undergoing successful back surgery last week. He is expected to be rehabbing at the start of training camp and is not expected to be a season-ending injury. There is no specific timeline for his return to game action." And here is an article I found. Just trying to help. https://www.wfmynews2.com/article/sports/panthers-te-tommy-tremble-undergoes-back-surgery-expected-to-miss-otas-and-minicamp-carolina-nfl/83-a432e6e0-bc21-48b9-b220-cef61ea8d38c
  7. Must have. He was dressed earlier last week during pregame warmups.
  8. I watched Canales press conference and he clearly stated they expect Tremble to be ready for training camp. This thread is suggesting Canales misspoke? Odd. https://www.reddit.com/r/panthers/comments/1kx2c1e/joe_person_tommy_tremble_had_successful_back/
  9. Today
  10. Rod is 1-11 in the championship round. He needs to win in front of the home crowd tonight to show he’s the right man for the job. Those first three games against Florida were fireable offenses
  11. My prediction is 9-8. If we can split with the Bucs I think we win the division.
  12. Chatters must be done huh? If he re aggravated something?
  13. I did really think he was an upgrade from Tremble, on paper, hence why I didn't like the pick. But, it does make more sense knowing we need another blocking TE with him potentially out for a bit.
  14. Here's tonight's projected lineup for the Hurricanes Official Website. Another game with no Chatty and Walker it's looking like. Tonight's Projected Lineup... Forwards Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis Hall - Kotkaniemi - Blake Martinook - Staal - Stankoven Robinson - Jankowski - Carrier Defense Slavin - Burns Orlov - Nikishin Gostisbehere - Morrow Goaltenders Andersen [Backup: Kochetkov] - Injuries Jalen Chatfield (Undisclosed Injury | Day-To-Day) Jesper Fast (Neck | Out For 2024-25 Season) Sean Walker (Undisclosed Injury | Day-To-Day) Scratches Juha Jaaska Tyson Jost Jack Roslovic Ty Smith Riley Stillman - PP1: Aho, Blake, Jarvis, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere PP2: Hall, Kotkaniemi, and Stankoven with Burns and Morrow
  15. I get the feeling because all these other people are saying he's dispeared again that next game is a good chance to bet on him having a hat trick
  16. Win in Raleigh tonight and I may start to hope for a series win, at the very least it would take some of the sting out. That said if they get blown out again I'll be pissed because they saved Rods job with a too little to late win. Ehhhhh Win tonight "I want to believe"
  17. It feels all but a guarantee he has a multiple point night or even a goal with how he has been playing.
  18. I’d say the 3-0 win Monday shows Rod still has the team.
  19. I agree with you. We'll get some answers from camp and certainly all these guys will be getting a good amount of reps in preseason.
  20. I mean, we need to improve everywhere. Short, mid, deep. We get below average results/production from our short game. We get zero YAC from the O overall. Too many off target throws. It's like the entire O is just a bunch of TEs where the play ends at the completion. I think some of that is the chunk ball O of Canales paired w/ a QB that should be in a scheme that is YAC scheme emphasized.
  21. TE Tommy Tremble had successful back surgery last week, per Dave Canales. They fully expect him back for training camp. OLB DJ Wonnum had his back flare up so they kept him off the field. WR Jalen Coker is dealing with a soft tissue injury. #Panthers https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1927422905358385512
