The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
UnluckyforSome replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Astute observers know that Young is a starting NFL qb in name only. The data points only verify what most can plainly see. Now, how about some big time throws? -

I mean did you see Russell Wilson play Sunday? He was leagues worse than Bryce Young. Honestly some of you are just so stuck in the mud that you think the Panthers are the only team with subpar QB play. Caleb Williams would have had the exact same performance against Jacksonville if he was our QB. Bringing in some jackoff like Aiden OConnell or Sam Howell isn't scoring any more points.

NVM everything is out now. 2025 Base - 1.25m Signing bonus - 19.185m Roster - 3m Workout - 200k Cap - 23640418 Dead - 58647918 2026 base 13.195m Signing bonus - 6937500 Roster - 500k Workout - 500k Cap - 21132500 Dead - 35007500 2027 Base - 20m Signing bonus - 6937500 Roster - 500k Workout - 500k Cap - 28437500 Dead - 13857500 2028 Signing bonus - 6937500 Cap - 6937500 Dead - 6937500 So there we go. Everything guaranteed is paid this year and next year except for the signing bonus. So he can get cut after next season with a dead hit of 13,857,500. Making this really a two year deal worth 40m.

I don't really care at this point. DC didn't bring poo but Dalton and Hooker. He didn't drsft Young but absolutely signed up to be tied to him. He can spin it however he wants but those are facts. Maybe he will learn from this and stop making poor decisions...if he gets another shot after this mess. He could go back to being stuck as a QB coach if it keeps up the pace.

The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
LinvilleGorge replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
The guy was a #1 overall pick that we traded a fortune to get. When you make that move you realize it's going to create other roster holes and you're betting that this guy is going to carry the team through those holes. That's the best you're making to make that move. Then you still have people complaining that we don't have a roster of all pros everywhere else to carry the guy. Just stop. We made a terrible bet and we lost the house on it. It is what it is. -
Is Tepper going to clean the house again after this season?
Joe Bear replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is why it doesn't matter if Young is cut, traded or starts, or if Canales is fired or given a contract extension. The results will always be the same. The team hires shitty coaches and acquires shitty QBs. Fine by me to churn again, but at least you and I know it won't make a single bit of difference to the W-L column. -
Simply running to the first down marker instead of throwing it to a waiting Jags defender on his first INT. Not terribly under throwing the deep ball to Renfrow that should've been a walk in TD. Not sailing the ball over Renfrow's head on the sideline that would've been a big play with a decent throw and another possible TD with a good throw. Throwing the ball to an open Sanders in the endzone instead of sailing it 20 feet over everyone's head leading to a turnover on downs. There were plays to be made and Bryce simply didn't make them. Kinda the main story of his entire career.

Is Tepper going to clean the house again after this season?
Jon Snow replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
The proper question is, what good coach with any other options would take the job? Money does not solve the problem. There's no quick fix for this despite what fans think of the players. The problems go much deeper with this organization. -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
Waldo replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
He didn't account for the missed opportunity throws where guys were wide open but not thrown to when adding in those 10 catches. With Bryce it's always weighted but in a favorable light. That poo is so old. How about 'just stop trying g to throw to XL' and call it within the norm at that point. -
Again, his underthrown balls helped tmac in this game because tmac wasnt separated. In this singular game, what play would he have had greatly improved numbers from?
-
Already knew that. It's 2026/2027 and structuring that I don't know.
-
No. Neither of them trust one another, and I think you know that. They're also both in over their heads at this point.

I’m in no way defending Canalas. I think he sucks. But hearing him talk, does he trust young to execute the playbook?

I believe I read before that Evero does not like starting younger players even if they are better than what is on the field. I felt Evero deserved another shot due to the multitude of injuries we had last year. Now I wish we hadn't given him another shot. We added so much talent to this defense he should have no excuses. It is literally the same defense as last year. No difference and he should be sent packing now. Bring Don Capers down from the front office. -

It’s funny. There are still people on this board that will suck the panthers off alll day. They can’t do no wrong. It’s cute. Those that still support Tepper…why? -

Fwiw we now theoretically have a situation where we can just drop a qb that doesn't suck and they can succeed. We have a good o line We have a good run game with chuba We might have an alpha wr with t Mac. We have some questions with upside in jt, Coker, horn and for now renfrow. We just need a qb who isn't absolute cheeks -
Yes and no I'm not using it as a way of saying "he's going to end up with these stats at the end of the season" But more of a way of saying to the people who are saying he didn't impress them, that they're not seeing the forest through the trees. I'd bet those same people who are saying they weren't impressed, if you had told them before the game, that he'd end up with 85 catches for 1,150 yards this year, they'd say that was a great rookie season (because it would be). So I'm just pointing out that it's a bit disingenuous to say this game didn't impress them, but knowing they would be impressed by that season long stat line if he had the same output every week.

The whole BY experience, from that stats that paint him well to the actual on field play, can be best summarized by a sentence from an article Nate Tice wrote last year about him. "Young’s lack of arm strength and size creates little room for error in his play" I think the above sentence is ultimately what holds him back right now in the NFL. https://sports.yahoo.com/bryce-youngs-hopes-for-a-bounce-back-season-with-panthers-comes-down-to-more-than-just-his-supporting-cast-140010168.html -
