  1. Past hour
  2. And the 4th down attempts where he wasn’t used. Jets led the league with 41 4th down attempts, we had 40.
  3. The FS/SS roles are outdated. Most teams play a lot of two high robber concepts to try and trick the offenses. I mean you can’t trot out two Laron Landry’s, but the common theme nowadays is to have two well rounded guys back there.
  4. I wouldn’t put UDFAs in the list. They are rookies and the only reason they are undrafted is because they shortened the draft. FAs are players with years of NFL experience. UDFAs are guys who almost got drafted in the last round.
  5. Another thought. They’re getting blown out in some of these last five or six games. The worst team in the league in the flames annihilated the canes. They got blown out last night. That two to one lost versus the Kraken was a blowout, even though it was only one point game. They blow late leads. If you’re not concerned, you’re just too much of a homer.
  6. Outside of rounds 1-4 we have two 5ths and a 6th. What are we trading up with? And when was the last time trading up in the first worked out spectacularly for us?
  7. It’s also clear Stank isn’t a Center. His points are way down. This isn’t a cup team. I think @Anybodyhomesaid it. They will go 500 they way to playoffs and lose the 1-2 eastern spots. Bussi made up for a lot of blue line issues when he was playing well. Now that Bus is not playing well. The blue line is being exposed more and more. They gotta figure out a way to unload Miller in the off-season he doesn’t fit this team at all. Mark my words, tulsky will be fired by Dunn if they miss the Stanley Cup with the amount of cap space and Florida to be out of the picture. One of those two will be fired. even though the canes have a great record, this is the most unsatisfied I’ve ever been with this team since the 2000 teen years. They just don’t have that killer instinct. I hope I’m proving wrong. I would love to be proven wrong, but I could see this team getting absolutely trounced in the first round and that’s it.
  8. If Thieneman is still available at 15-16, I wouldn’t mind if we traded up for him.
  9. Sam Mills (1995) John Kasay (1995) Kevin Greene (1996) Wesley Walls (1996) Steve Beuerlein (1996) Todd Steussie (2001) Jeff Mitchell (2001) Kevin Donnalley (2001) Brentson Buckner (2001) Todd Steussie (2001) Jake Delhomme (2003) Stephen Davis (2003) Ricky Proehl (2003) Ken Lucas (2005) Mike Tolbert (2012) Mario Addison (2012) Ted Ginn (2013 & 2015) Mike Mitchell (2013) Travelle Wharton (2013) Dwan Edwards (2013) Andrew Norwell (2014)-UDFA Kurt Coleman (2015) Julius Peppers (2017) Frankie Luvu (2021) Adam Thielen (2023) Damien Lewis (2024) Tre'von Moehrig (2024) Jalen Coker (2024)-UDFA
  10. Hornets would have to practically win out and make a run to the conference finals for Charles Lee to wrestle coach of the year away from Bickerstaff or Mitch Johnson.
  11. He certainly earned his money last year thanks to us finishing 27th in YPG. That's a lot of punts.
  12. Given our options it is obviously one of the better moves we could have made and there does not seem to be anyone that is not in favor of adding a decent left tackle given our circumstances. But at the end of the day that is roughly what he will end up being for us. Anyone expecting him to be head and shoulders better than Icky might as well get ready to pull a complete 180 because you can bet your bottom dollar sooner or later they'll be screaming for his head.
  13. Gettleman made tons of misses and had some key injuries, but usually he had the right spots. Honestly, hog molly wise, for only having 5 drafts, he did bring in Norwell, Turner, Daryl Williams, Moton, Short and Star who all had big impacts for us.
  14. Today
  15. the Panthers contract for LT Rasheed Walker is actually a 1 year - $4 million base deal heavily incentive-laden to get to the $10 million that was first reported hell of a move by Dan Morgan/Brandt Tillis https://x.com/joshnorris/status/2034272445255897388?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  16. Insanely good contract on Walker. Don't know how or why, but damn. As weird as it is, maybe we're becoming an okay destination for FAs again.
  17. Dan Moore got 50 million in total guarantees Walker got 3.215M. Deal is heavily incentive based. I really don’t get it at all. He’s at absolute worst a slightly below average LT. Those aren’t even easy to find these days. How was his market this bad? https://x.com/aaronwilson_nfl/status/2034251531034234961?s=46&t=W75E23VenL1ei42iX22E5g
  18. Yea the free agent situation isn't great. If Michael Taaffe is there in the 4th round they absolutely need to draft him.
  19. there’s a substantial hole at DT but in a class full of inside nose guys I think we may see them leaning towards the 2nd round, potentially with a move up the board to get their guy there. i don’t think center gets touched until at least round three but probably round 4. its a deep position group there and I think they like the idea of an open competition between Samac, Fortner, and a mid round pick or two. if all that holds true then I’ll assume TE, OT, and DB to be the rooms they’re potentially looking at in round 1.
  20. Believe me, I want Scott starting like I want a kick in the nuts, but who's available that's better? Kyle Dugger and Donovan Wilson are SS. Jamie Ward and Harrison Smith are 35 and 37. We could bring back Xavier Woods but that didn't go so well last time. The FA market is dry! That's why I think we actually go against our aversion this year and draft a FS on day 1 or 2. Unless they think Ransom can make the switch from SS to FS in year 2 but I don't really think that's the answer either.
  21. We need a NT and another DT to play alongside DB. Id also be okay with TE if its truly someone that can contribute.
  22. Nick Scott isn't the best they can do. He's a decent backup but they need to upgrade there. This team seems to have a historical aversion to a ballhawking safety.
  23. Always draft O-line.

  24. I was going to reply similarly to @MHS831. A week ago we pretty much HAD to go OT at 19, but DMo has set us up to literally work from our big board. If the right guy at OT, DT, CB, FS, ILB, TE falls, we can grab them and keep on truckin. I would argue that the only 2 starters from last year that still need upgrading (other than QB...Bryce is our guy in 2026 for better or worse - that has been discussed ad nauseum for 4 years) are Scott and a Wallace. Wharton could be on that list as well but I agree with you that Lloyd and Phillips instantly make him better. OT and CB are on the list because we need to be looking at 2027 and beyond. I do think we get a pass-catching TE an speedster WR, but not in rounds 1 or 2.
