  1. Past hour
  2. He looks good but after his tape was out there he also came back to earth a bit too. I wouldn't put him near where CMC was for us tho. That's a whole other teir....so far. I think we need to see him with competent QB play first. Dalton couldn't stay healthy for a drive so we really haven't seen who he really is yet on the field. It's really hard for me to evaluate him with the current playbook from a full view.
  3. Pre-Tommy Jone Delhomme wasn’t Peyton Manning but he had so much of what you want in a QB, especially given tier he occupied. He had contagious energy, passion, grit and odd playmaking ability. given being a “nice guy” doesn’t really check a box (Jake was that but it’s not really a thing you look for on the field)….Bryce really only has negatives.
  4. Need good goalie play. That flu bug is going around. Also, Nystrom > Miller. I said it. He has been terrible. No better team than his old one to play better.
  5. All things considered thats gotta be the route. Draft a dude and sit his ass on the bench
  6. Sellers has bust written all over him..unless he goes to a team that can afford to sit him where he can learn the game and develop without the pressure of starting immediately. Not sure that is the Panthers. If we do go rookie in the draft, he can't be viewed as a day 1 starter. He does have potential, but I think it is going to have to be a handle-with-care situation.
  7. Nothing will change with the qb situation until Tepper is convinced Young is not viable. Until that point, it will be Young. During that time, any shortcomings of Young will be because he does not have the necessary supporting cast, and/or coaches are failing him with faulty schemes and defective gameplans. So, until Tepper is out, Young is in.
  8. Young is the kind of QB who will go as far as the team drags him 90% of the time. And once in a long while he'll explode and light the opposing team up. That is not anywhere near where we need to be as a team. What' worse is that we've won way too many games this season due to an extremely easy schedule. So we can't select a top QB in the draft, and a free agent QB is usually not the answer. The Panthers fell victim to a long stretch of bad QBs coming out of college. Even if we had made different moves and selected any number of different QBs coming out, we still would have ended up with a bust most likely. Bryce is a bust. Tua is a bust. Zach Wilson? Yikes. Trey Lance. Justin Fields. Mac Jones. Kenny Picket. CJ Stroud. My point is that a lot of teams were devastated by this stretch of bad QBs coming out of college, but we were dumb enough to trade the farm for one of them. The smart move? Tale the 2 first round picks from the Rams for Burns, and keep CMC. Sit tight. Whatever QB falls in your lap in the draft, take him. Then use the other two first round picks to build up the o-line on the cheap. This isn't Morning GMing. I said take the Rams deal at the time. We have not had a good GM ever in franchise history. No more trading up for QBs. Clearly is a total guessing game. Stay put. Trade vets for draft picks and start the rebuilding process with a new GM and new coaches. Cut Bryce and bring him back on a vet min deal. Then cut him again for being trash. He's done here if I had any say.
  9. He hasn't been the same since the head injury last year. I don't know if there are some lasting physical effects, or it's just mental. I hope he can get back to form, but I'm highly skeptical.
  10. Hockey has GWG. Maybe football needs a GWTD stat.
  11. Yup. It's crazy they brought back Dalton. You have a QB in year 3 so instead of brining in a developmental backup they bring back the emotional support QB who can't even make it through a game healthy or even decent play. Totally normal stuff
  12. Oh it's squarely the worst in the NFL. That's why you are impressed by unimpressive players.
  13. That hope is unlikely to pay off. He has consistently regressed as a player.
  14. David Tepper is 68 years old. If you outlive him and we get a not Michael Jordan caliber owner again, you could see successful football.
  15. I’m fully convinced, especially since sports betting apps became mainstream, the refs nudge the games. There are penalties on almost every play. They choose to call them or not. Who here thinks it’s a coincidence the 49ers first penalty of the game truly came in the third quarter on the Panthers extra point try? To conveniently keep the score difference to 8 points just past the -7.5 spread. I agree Panthers will cover. The game will be close for no apparent reason.
  16. Ugh the team’s decision not to develop a backup QB is just infuriating. Dalton is 38 years old. Drafting a QB last year would have just been justified to have a BACKUP on the up and up. Every time this team takes a step forward they find another way to take a step or two backward.
  17. My bad. I was thinking double West coast for some reason. So they DO have a home field advantage because it is at our stadium.
  18. Today
  19. Putting the game in his hands again vs doing the run first approach still makes me think they are both have not given up the dream. Just like brining back Dalton and avoiding anything that could come close to competition did. If they had given up on that dream I wouldn't be so agaisnt them both but they did what they did and as far as I can tell thst train is still on the tracks to nowhere.
  20. Next years QB room needs to be a shotgun blast Reclamation project (Lance is my choice) + vet (Geno or Mariota) + draft pick. Let them duke it out all year
  21. It is crazy but they obviously still want it. It's why they were hired and it's what this entire build is about. The fact they had the Falcons game and then went out and put it in his hands once again vs running the damn ball and trying to squeeze another win out proves it again. I don't like it but that's what this is no matter how hard fans twist details into some kind of sanity. I have been against this from before the pick and would love to end it this year just like the two years before. Im just not going to lie to myself about it. There is zero real signs that Tepper is off of the Bryce train either...even if there should be by now. I hope we are right and the remander of the schedule doesn't play with their food like GB did. Otherwise next year is going to look a lot like this year but the odds they pick up thst 5th are bad that they make the right or good choice. They obviously want it and I just don't see 2 yes men walking Tepper off of his mistake without a deflated end to this season. Any bright spot for them to get twisted will result in more of the same IMO. I will belive it when they say they aren't picking him up otherwise Im just expecting it unfortunately
  22. Did you not see him hi-five everyone back to the locker room saying "believe in me guyz"? EXTEND THIS MAN!!!
  23. Kyler is not that good but has more natural talent than Bryce, he is actually fast and has a big arm. Bryce could never reach Kylers level and we should want better than that anyway.
  24. After 3 years of a QB room with only one egg in the basket, it's time for a different approach. 1. Trade Bryce to anyone for anything especially if they take on his salary, 2, Cut Dalton, should have never signed him to begin with. 3. For what or just a little more salary cap saved on BY. sign two of the FA "reclaim projects", Sam, Trey, or other. Tell both they will fight it out for the starting spot & have 3-4 months before TC to get ready. 4. Draft a QB on day 3, plan for him to sit and learn for a year at least. He may not turn into a starter but backup spot has turned into a dire need around the league. There are some interesting QBs from lesser known programs that will be available, some as UDFAs. 5. If Bryce is untradable, take our medicine and cut him anyway.
  25. I hate what he brings to the Panthers which is next to nothing. Bryce the person could give two shits about. He makes my favorite team bad and does nothing for me, am I supposed to sing his praises or something? Get dude out of town.
